Liverpool Away New Years Day
I know it's some weeks away but the ticket prices for the game have been published and what a rip-off.
Adults - £41
Over 65's - £31
Under 16's - £20.50
I have taken my son to all away games this season (except West Ham & Arsenal) and the most expensive ticket was Aston Villa which I reluctantly paid £35 for an adult ticket. Most other matches have been more reasonably priced.
Asking over £40 is a disgrace and too much for me to fork out (along with a U16's ticket too). This will surely stop a good number of the growing away support attending. Well I certainly won't be paying £41. No league game is worth paying that amount.
Where have they plucked these prices from? Did Bolton charge similar prices for their fans?

I'm sure it was £32 either last year or the year before.. Anyone?

Thank you - you have just saved me a wasted journey... Didn't the new owner push up prices as the first act when he took over Red Sox?Barr Hill wrote:I know it's some weeks away but the ticket prices for the game have been published and what a rip-off.

£41 quid?! I was looking at this as 'local' and Christmass-y, but balls to that!

Plus £10 to some scallies to "look after your car".Prufrock wrote:£41 quid?! I was looking at this as 'local' and Christmass-y, but balls to that!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Best chance in years to take 3 points at Anfield.

Certainly, its the best chance this year.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: Liverpool Away New Years Day
That pricing is almost as big of a joke as the club charging it. Almost, but not quite. The day I pay £41 to watch midtable rubbish like Liverpool will be a cold day in hell. Almost as big of a joke as Manchester United charging £40+ but at least they are quite good. Football prices are ridiculous, sounds pretty redundant in today's world but no football game should cost more than £20. I paid £36 to watch relegation favourites West Ham this year, if I had to pay that to watch that rubbish on a regular basis I'd be as upset with life as their fans always seem to be.

I think I saw less than that. Still, for £41 a pop I think they might be able to afford to have some ball boys this time.P.O.S. wrote:I'm not paying £41 to see half a pitch and nothing else like last season!

I was going but now I'm not.
I could afford the ticket price but I don't want to pay it.
And agree with Caps' summation.

£41 on New Years Day!
They can get f*cked, ditto their blue neighbours who expect more than £30 to sit on wooden seats in one of the country's biggest slums.
Get to f*ck.
