Re: What are you watching tonight?
Not tonight, but on New Years Day (check that) the Beeb are running a drama about Morecambe and Wise's formation years. Victoria Wood and Vic Reeves (unfortunately) play Eric's parents. I can't wait for this (other than for it having Vic Reeves in it).
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: What are you watching tonight?
am watching that too - tho J.Ross is irritating (what is that beard/tache combo?) and the James May series' were much better...
anyway - it's Sunday night and there's no bastarding Antiques bastarding Roadshow because of some stupid lame bastarding sporty bastarding wankfest spunked all across the BBC
what is the bastarding world coming to???

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Looking forward to this - great previews. Every period needs its own take on the nativity. As, in the UK, it does on Elizabeth I and Robin Hood. Each interpretation of the familiar story, esp if it's good, tells us more about our own times than it does about the story itself.thebish wrote:For those who liked Garrow...
young mr Garrow is playing Joseph in the BBC's 4-part "Narivity"
on BBC One for four consecutive nights from Monday Dec 20.
So, I'm the atheist looking forward to it and hoping to be captured...

Re: What are you watching tonight?
So if 'Joseph' (our own Andrew Buchan, aka Garrow) is from Bolton, the unmarried mother of the Messiah must be from Top o'th Brow?

EDIT: Apprentice final last night.
After a really good series, the final was a bit of a letdown what with the result being so blatantly obvious.

i think you're wishing this week away a bit quickly!
i saw the programme too, tbh ive never watched a single episode of The Apprentice before, but there was nowt on and it kindda drew me in.
i know nothing of either contestants previous, but i thought they were both pretty awful last night. especially the commercials and their presentations - i wouldn't have hired either of them. But, if it was just based on last nights task then im glad the broad won - WTF was that Prism shite all about!!? dick.

However you are right I haven't seen anyone yet on the apprentice who I'd jump out of my seat to hire.
One or two of the hotter women excepted of course!

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I watched part one of "Mesrine" on Saturday night, taken me a long time to watch it, and I'll get round to "A Prophet" at some point too.
Really enjoyed it, and for once they did a good job of making the subtitles readable too. Part 2 tonight after th'gym I think

Did you think? I thought her presentation wasn't as good, but she had a better idea, better ad, and managed her team better.boltonboris wrote:And during that task, being easily second bestBWFC_Insane wrote:EDIT: Apprentice final last night.

Aye and he came across as a right prick when he was asking her to "dance up to the bar".General Mannerheim wrote:his ad was hilarious, with that dancing woman! Re: What are you watching tonight?
Watching a couple of old clips through the BBC website of reports by Brian Hanrahan, who has passed away it was announced today.
He covered some pretty huge incidents in recent history including a fair few events that my uni course looked at all that time ago so I can appreciate the gravity of some of the things he was present at as they happened

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Not often I watch TV all evening but tonight it was Sherlock Holmes, Freddie Starr and Morse. When Freddie Starr want s to be serious he does Presley better then anyone. The Jordanaires were a real bonus. Great hour with the madman in fine form. Oh, and Nativity before all that. Ddn't glean much from the first half hour.Lord Kangana wrote:An evening with Freddie Starr.
