To be fair, I'd take him over Muamba right now.
you'd be totally wrong to do so.
All jibes and banter aside William as much as he is a clogger and a throw back to old style midfield players....

Cattermole is thrice the player young Fabrice is. If not more....

IMHO of course!

I don't really have a valid opinion but did watch this game. The colour commentator mentioned each time Cattermole fouled Elmander that he did it cynically because he knew he was too slow to compete fairly. He apparently gives up a lot of free kicks and gets many yellows and reds. I could not really agree therefore that he is thrice the player Muamba is from these observations.

The Cahill challenges both won the ball although you could argue in todays game his studs were up on the 2nd. I'll grant you the KD elbow - TV replays showed him look at ferdinand then lead with his arm, so he could have been penalised for that. However, the worst challenge in the game was Cattermoles on Elmander which went unpunished because Foy bottled it. What possessed him on a booking to lunge in like that the numb get?

Unfortunately, Foy was heavily influenced by the home crowd crying for every challenge and the Sunderland players rolling about in fake agony.
And Bruce whining like a pathetic child.

No jibes and banter from me - I think Muamba is gifted and will improve under Coyle...

I think Cattermole is a very hardworking midfielder who is not improvable given the profound flaw in his psychological makeup that attracts him to thuggery... Barton mark two... IMHO, of course...

I will stick me neck out.

Muamba is a better bet for an England spot in the future.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

See Monty you just can't win. Even threw in the "u" in color for them and they still jump on your comments. :D

See the happy face. It was a light hearted comment to Monty and in no way meaning to attack yourself so no need to take offense. I am aware that colour commentary is a term not used in England and is part of the N.A. terminology.
