What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

When I'm in Germany and, if on the menu, I always opt for Zander (which is described as being a cross between a pike and a perch). Absolutely delicious.

Can't seem to buy it over here for love nor money. Anyone?

Reflect you should have left it in Tesco?
Soak it in a bucket of water for 12 hours to take out the mud. Unless Tesco has helpfully done this first. Then poach it with milk. Still tastes like sh*t mind...............

Well, the working year is over and tonight will see me crack open the first of the Christmas Champagne. The Billster has been speaking highly of this stuff from Aldi, Veuve Monsigny, so it'll be getting a ronout later along with my home-made lasagne. :D

Also, if anyone's in the market for quaffing Champagne, Asda on Middlebrook are knocking this stuff called Pierre Carcys out at just under a tenner a bottle. I've bought one but don't know if it's any good yet.

The fridge not necessarily the best place to store - and especially not red wines.

I'm detecting with my investigative prowess that this is in actual fact meant for Tango in a different thread, no?

Curry. And Kronenbourg Draught Systeme. One with a widget inside. Easily the best lager I've ever tasted outside a pub.

Spot of Quinta de Azevedo Vinho Verde. Winner of white wine of the year in The LK Wine Awards.

Can't drink too much, as I have work in the morning you feckless bastards.

Indian food style buffet soon washed down with Bud and some chilien white wine, good wines from Chile without the snobbery of French.

I'm having a spot of Medoc (Tour Saint Bonnet 1/2 price at Tesco £6.99). And a few bits and bobs. Alright at this price, wouldn't pay full price for it though. Still to be convinced by Tesco wine selection and price. Perhaps I should stop persevering? Everywhere else was shut though, so no choice.

Daughter just dropped me off a bottle of Gonzales Byass medium dry Amontilado sherry. Not totally a dry lover, but it'll get sampled tonight amongst other things as the wife bought a bottle of Mojito and some mint leaves. Bottled Mojito is a nice drink but tried some mixed in a Cuban place in California a couple of years ago, supposedly the real deal, and nearly choked on all the foliage.

Steak. Frites (yes, frites. Let's give thin chips their due). Pepper Sauce. Simple, effective, beautiful. Sums up the year.

Split pea and ham soup. Homemade - yum. Then the last of the decent mince pies and the first of the damson gin bottlings, done this time with some cinnamon and lemongrass, just for the sheer hell of it. Mmmmmmm...
