Just found out One HD (freetoair sports channel) is going to to be HD only, and all they have now on the SD is ads for the new channel.

to make thing worse the is two other one hd channels, 1 and 12. But the new loser channel taking over is 11. 'for the youth'

just hope the superbowl (used to be on SBS) is on both One HD and Ten.

Its the X-factor. Nobody gives a flying fcuk about your vote. Thats because its not important.
The voting showed that the big Irishwoman from Tesco finished ahead of some other wannabe popette in the semi final, but Cowell demanded a 'sing-off' for them because he didn't want someone he couldn't market to the public in the final.

Why encourage people to vote if you're going to change the rules to suit your bank balance?

Cowell is a cu*t and so is his karaoke competition.

when politicians (or anyone, in fact) proclaims that they have withdrawn what they said...

you might regret what you said - and feel sorry about it
you might have been misquoted
you might have put something badly

but you can't withdraw it - once it is said, it is said, and telling me you have withdrawn it doesn't stop it having been said... you still said it (and 90% of the time - you meant every word)

either - have the balls to stand by what you said if you meant it
or - say you were wrong and you are sorry
or - show me how the context made what you actually said different from how it sounded
or - tell me you didn't say it and you have been misquoted

but DON'T tell me you have withdrawn it - you can't do that!

Two premiership games made it at the weekend. Two.

Yet the Daily F*cking Mirror still can't concentrate long enough to award the possession stats to the right team. Apparently Blackburn, playing away, had 53% possession to Sunderland's 47%.

The ignorant, lazy, incompetent arsewipes.

Driving all the way to Kent from Coventry without a problem getting 100yards from destination and slipping on ice, hitting kerb and smashing front wheel, suspension and steering.

And Depression again, not nice :(

British Gas / Dynorod.

Wankers.

I understand that it might take some time to get someone to come and repair the fecking leak - but 90 minutes later I can't even get through to tell them I've got a fcuking leak.

Tossers.

To be fair to BG/Dynorod I suspect they're completely indundated, including the switchboard. It took me 15 minutes to get through to them yesterday to ask them to come and repair my grandma's central heating. As she's 95 and lives on her own they prioritised her and had it fixed by 3pm. They were also very prompt with fixing her cold water system when that bust last month.

Part of the problem seems to be that we don't have CH systems that are designed to cope with cold weather, in particular external condenser pipes which are prone to freezing. I know of three people who've had that problem already this week.

indeed... I think a new standard pipe thickness has just been recommended... the old ones were ridiculously narrow-diameter - and almost bound to freeze in proper cold weather.

if you have a condenser boiler and it shuts off and refuses to light - this is the first thing to check - remove lagging and pour hot water up and down its length...

Not anger, exasperation.

Lots of people going to Bolton Hospital park in the streets/roads around Minerva Road and walk up to the hospital because parking is always a problem there. Fair enough.

Coming back from the papershop with the dog this morning I see a young woman, with a child aboard, trying to drive uphill onto the pavement to park. She's stuck there, wheels spinning madly and two friendly neighbourhood women are trying to shovel snow from under them. It ain't working at all. Legend of the Glass Mountain springs to mind seeing what she's done to the road surface and part of the pavement.
"Why don't you reverse back into the road first love and park facing...." say I.
" I can't go backwards or forwards" says she interupts, with a helpless smile.
" Put it in reverse and go easy on the accelerator" I say and push her back on to the road.
Much thanks and smiling and waving and off I go. Thirty yards up the road I look back to see her doing exactly the same thing again in the same spot. If she'd driven forty yards and turned around at a widish junction she could have parked facing downhill. When she comes back she'll probably find somebody parked in front and behind her, on what by then will rival the Cresta Run. I shake my head and carry on.

Forgot to add, grit waggons are rarer than flying saucers around here so whilst the actual road surface is down there somewhere, we just don't see it for a while.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?

I don't want to be fair to them.

They're happy enough to take my money. They need to plan for bad weather. 2 hours hanging on the fecking 'phone is scandalous. It's a non-urgent job, I wouldn't mind if they said someone will be out in three days - but I couldn't actually get through to them to tell them that. Tossers.

They will get no more money off me.

Is there an online problem registration? I know when I worked for a Water Company they had that.

Here you go.

Find out who the CEO of British Gas is.

See if his email address is available online (it should be, somewhere)

Outline all this in an email (omitting tyhe word "wankers!")

Worked when I had a long running, disgusting experience with BT. Three months being given contradictory information. Finalloy found the CEO's email address. Within 45 minutes, problem solved, £125 compensation, a year's worth of free broadband. Still moved my business elsehwhere the second my contract was up.

I've dealt with at least 3 of their Board members, through work - although not all when they were at Centrica - I'll keep the ammo in my locker for a rainy day... :-)

Bizarre as this may seem, I'm still lacking in festive cheer towards Centrica who I've just spent another hour getting through to this morning, to find out where the engineer that was supposed to visit before 1800 yesterday has got to.

Apparently I was given the wrong information and would I like an appointment in the New Year sometime...

They're still tossers.

Luckily with my accident I had to deal with Toyota Roadside Assistance, AA and Enterprise rent a car all of which were fantastic!

Still back to angry, the idiots driving in this weather....is it that hard to clear snow from lights, windows? As its slippery and you saw someone skid why not try and drive as close as possible to the car in front or overtake at really silly speeds!
