Back Seat Chefs.

If you're that pessimistic about the results that'll come out of the kitchen, why not cook the fecking thing yourself? Or not just come round for dinner? You wouldn't ask the waiter if it could be arranged to watch your dinner being cooked, occasionally tut and tell the chef how long to cook the fecking elderberry jus, would you? Would you?

I suspect rules changes for people with the designation "mother-in-law".

'Big' Christmas cards... 'Big' rip off policies...

Since the absurd size regs the fact is that we have to pay a 10p top-up if an ordinary stamp is affixed by the sender to a 'big' card (how many of us know how big that is?) - and a £1 charge for the 'admin expenses' - and, in my case, queue up at the the sorting office, in the cold, for up to twenty minutes - three times, and I've refused the last two, they can chuck them in the bin!

I'm guilty of this. If I've got to eat the stuff I want it cooking proper like.

By cooked proper, you mean well done, don't you?

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Nope. I mean like I'd cook it myself. Proper like; y'know, like my mum'd make it.
In fact I don't really like well done food. That would be one of the things I'd be back seat cheffing about.

Where the buggery-fcuk does the end of the sellotape go?

Where? It just fcuking disintegrates.

It's not as if sellotape is even that useful. Only required a couple of times a year.

Shite.

I hate christmas. Nearly as much as I hate life itself.

You know? I was an adult before I realised that what they meant on Blue Peter by "Sticky back plastic" was in actual fact, Sellotape. I thought that they meant Formica or summat. As such, I never did make anything that they were demonstrating how-to-make! :(

I thought sticky back plastic was the big sheets of, well, sticky back plastic that come on rolls. Like this:

I always thought they referred to Sellotape as "sticky tape", as in "double sided sticky tape".

Its physically impossible to have single sided sticky tape. Think about it.

Not angry, just drained.

A+E today. After a week of almost unknown winter quietness, today just threw one shitstorm after another. Sobering to say the least.
