Why does De Matteo always look like he's just dropped his guts and is trying not to laugh about it?

Back to fifth at least for the next couple hours.

Needed the points and we got them. Need to improve for the next two games.

We rode our luck but good spirit again. Still, need to improve and pass the ball to feet more. Get in!

Not a great performance really. We had trouble holding onto the ball in the midfield and Odemwingie should have had a hat trick. What I liked though was that we showed great persistence for both of our goals. In each case it looked like the chance had gone but Lee and Elmander kept at it.

And a clean sheet! God bless us, every one!

Oh and a very nice gesture with the Avi Cohen tribute. Very classy.

I thought that the performance was poor as we made WBA look like Arsenal the way that they passed the ball around and through us, how they didn't score I don't know. Very poor finishing on their part and quite a few last ditch tackles on ours.

BUT, as normal under Coyle we never gave up and scored a great goal against the run of play will excellent control and vision by Lee and a cool right footed finish by Taylor.

Again in the second half they totally controlled the game for 30 mins or so until we eventually got on top and again excellnet commitment and control from Elmander to fashion a chance from nothing and then another cool finish when the ball rebounded to him. And for once we saw the game out without conceding a goal, a total amazment for me after all the earlier chances that West Brom had ceated. This result partly makes up for the loss against Liverpool which we equally didn't deserve.

Finally what positive subs by Coyle when we were trying to hold on to a 1-0 win, was very adventurous but it worked and as said above only 11 points or so to safety. Then push on for Europe.

I wonder how we'd look if we started at home Klasnic, Elmander and Davies all on?

With LYC away for a month or so I think we'll soon find out, maybe not at Chelsea though!

Would only try it at home. Chelsea would batter us with that formation.

Worked for Sunderland. It's Chungy out and either Elmo Petrov or Rodrigo out there. Elmander is probably the soundest defensively! Though he was shite, goal aside, today. Poor performance, but three points. They must be shit if they can't score against us! That Mulumbu was easily the best player on the pitch though. Personal highlight was Robbo's thumbs up to the West Brom fans in the second half after taking shit all game. Wonderful.
