Where has anyone said that Muamba played well? Are you not mis-reading 'Mulumbu' who, without a doubt, absolutely bossed midfield yesterday?
Yes, you're right. Apologies. I saw the bottom line of BWFI's post and read it as Muamba not Mulumbu who I agree was terrifc.

I felt Fab did ok. I think we'll continue to struggle when teams pack the midfield at the Reebok and the midfield two have to contend with three men. Fab did what you want him to for me, he won the ball and he passed it out to his team mates. He made some surging runs and played his part in creating a chance that Mandy should have put away.

Davies, believe it or not TD didn't have a decent game even by his standards. He won little in the air of note, didn't pass it very well and we didn't create enough dead ball chances (was our first corner around the hour mark?) for his physical presence to be a threat. Had Klasnic come on for him instead, it wouldn't have surprised.

My prediction for the Sunderland game:

Got everything right EXCEPT the opponent.
A week too soon with my bold prediction of a Taylor goal and a clean sheet.

Apologies for delay in match report. I have, quite simply, been driving or drinking ever since (always in the right order).

It's with Ratty now for a final polish.

A trifle later than planned, but DSB's match report is on the Home Page.

Another excellent read DSB :-)

And a reminder that in two days time, HWSNBN will no longer be the Club Gardner... :D

So two days until Blackburn start playing sexy-Champions-League-Football-on-a-budget then. They'll beat us 9-0 next year. Easy.

Their no.21 was superb, I was really surprised when they substituted him. Don't get the wank-love for Robinson either - he does the basics, no problem, but on the ball he's worse than Samuel! Two new fullbacks please.

Oh and whilst we're at it - sell Cahill. We'd be no worse without him, but we'd be richer.

PS

Striker in gloves = fine

Keeper in tights = fine

Linesman in gloves = no.
