Question re the WBA match linesman
for those who saw it on screen & with the benefit of replays etc.
The linesman covering the line on the East/North area (the one wearing GLOVES, fck it'll be snoods next) ... from where I sit (ESL, about 10 yards to the north of the half-way line) he seemed to have a complete 'mare ... in the first half especially.
However, partial fans, surrounded by others and without replays are not exactly the best judges.
Was he a useless piece of shite ... or did I have my navy & white specs on ??

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Re: Question re the WBA match linesman
He was terrible, ball went out a couple of times and Odemwingie was offside on at least one of his 'attempts'. He just wasn't for giving us owt but we won so feck it!
Pfffft.
Re: Question re the WBA match linesman
He looked shite at the time, but I'd have to bow to the opinion of folk sat right behind the decisions. Odemwingie's movement was fecking excellent, and very difficult to defend against. If that lad could finish he'd be top drawer. At least one I thought he was miles off was played on MOTD and he was level.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I've got to agree with Prufrock, at the time I thought he was having an absoloute nightmare, then I saw MotD, and then thought otherwise.

He was absolutely bobbins. At one point I thought his arm had frozen to his side. Worst I have seen for a long time.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.
Poor man last, rich man first.

Re: Question re the WBA match linesman
Odemwingie has always been a great mover off the ball. He was just as good back in the African Cup of Nations when Okocha was around and Odemwingie was just breaking into the team but he's always suffered from not being the best of finishers around. I wouldn't have imagined that he would've cut it in the Premiership and it's odd to see him doing just that.
Re: Question re the WBA match linesman
I was roughly in-line and thought he got more right than he did wrong. The one where Odemwingie went through only to pass it to Cahill I thought he got right.

I was yelling at him for wearing gloves - his performance was abysmal too.

Re: Question re the WBA match linesman
Replays do show he had a decent game and probably did better than most linesmen do during a game as open as this one, Odemwingie's movement was awesome, I'd agree with that, but what struck me was that normally, he can finish, I think the just come back from injury desease, you know, the one that Rooney's got helped us out a lot.
I think ZK needs to be a bit more sharper on balls trying to "penetrate" our defensive line, I'll stress the point again, Samba would be a quality signing.
