Got my ticket for this one tonight, and one for yon Pater. Looking forward to seeing us get back to winning ways (hopefully)

Three of our regular four going to this. And the fourth has a good 'excuse'... Looking forward...

As I always say at this time of year, I really, really want a cup run...

Well Blake and Petrov are definitely starting according to Coyle.
We should actually see the youngster's or else we'll just burn out the senior's.

Definitely not bothering with this, not paying that sort of cash at the moment to watch our second string play some non-league outfit.

Going to stop at home and watch my Premiership Years dvds in the nude.

Do we have a second string?

I have one string - but it's in the wash...

To be honest, I'd never heard of them before he started this thread. I only started watching football when it was invented after Euro 96

So what do we think for a team for this, I'll say (assuming Klasnic + Steinsson are back)....

Jussi
Steinsson Cahill Knight Alonso

Blake Muamba Davies Petrov

Klasnic Rodrigo

If Klasnic and Steinsson aren't back then Ricketts at RB and one of Davies/Elmander in for Klasnic. Probably Elmander, give Davo the game off.

Can't see him rushing Klasnic or Steinsson back, but yeah it will probably be something like that. That team should be able to thrash York, but we won't.

If Steinsson's back then I'd look to rest Cahill and play Ricketts at centre half. Ricketts should still be relatively fresh after having a bit of wait for his first start

Yeah or maybe try Ricketts with Cahill? Not playing Cahill will only lead to "we're not cup tying him so as to sell him" rumours ad nauseum! Though obviously if Cahill does need a rest Coyle won't care about that!

Oh and yes, Bogdan in nets, forgot about that!

Want cup run. However, Muamba Elmander and Davo should be no-where near the squad. Go home have a break and don't even think about football. Petrov and Klasnic if fit need starts. I'd go for something like

Bogdan

Steiner-Cahill-Ricketts-Alonso

Rodrigo-MD-Anybody, anybody at all-Petrov

Blake-Klasnic.

Thing is Pru where you've said "anybodies" we have to pick players and from what I've heard OC won't throw anyone outside of the senior squad in.

So we're stuck with whoever is fit out of that.

Muamba NEEDS a rest though. As do Elmander and Davies. We cannot keep playing the same 14 players all season.

Too early for Cohen to play a part?

He'll be in if he's back I'm sure. But I don't know if he'll be back and understandably so!

Gone a bit quiet recently from those who wanted to see Cahill in midfield...

Funeral was eight days ago. I don't wish to be harsh and it's nice to see employers giving grieving-leave but it's hardly like we're awash with players and nor is it like the club hasn't been understanding and supportive. Might just do Tamir some good to get back to work. Discuss.
