January transfer window...

Re: January transfer window...
It's not really loyalty though, is it? They have a contract of employment, and the only way to "get rid" of them is for another club to sign them (can't happen, injured), mutual termination (not going to happen) or cancelling their contract and paying them a big wedge right now.
The third is a possibility, but they were/are all competent players, and if you terminate the contract and pay them off, it won't be cheaper than keeping them on and hoping they get fit and come good again!
As for Samuel, anyone know how long is contract has remaining? Can't see us keeping him unless we have to!

I'd still like us to go for Curtis Davies too

I'd rather have Tony Curtis.boltonboris wrote:I'd still like us to go for Curtis Davies too
Curtis Davies is, was & always will be a heap of old, over-hyped, shite.
Leave him where he is, better in that reserve team than ours.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Yep, Wheater is done according to the official radio lads. Details will follow i guess
Re: January transfer window...
That's good news, if we had pictures we'd probably see him in the crowd at the game today. Unless he's at Euxton?
B(E)N confirms that the move will be confirmed early next week: http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... lton_move/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wheater is a good, solid addition. Plus English & quite young. All in all a solid buy. It is a step, now or later, to letting Cahill go, I'm afraid, but hey, if that £20m comes along we have to be realistic.

I can't complain with this signing one bit. Has good upside and doesn't look like it will cost us too much, thus allowing us to profit and benefit for the sale of Cahill. Also like the fact that we are looking ahead.

Could be a good signing or possibly not but just maybe.

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

Not only PSG, but I'm wary that we make the first of Feb with Cahill intactus.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Wheater - the right buy I think. Hope we aren't paying over the odds given his contract situation. The story of £4 mil is quite scary!
