Chungy on a busman's holiday.

Haha, they're the most popular based on their footballing merits. If you want pretty boys we have those too, but their level of footballing skill varies!

I'm just shocked that Bruce is an expert about dog fighting including it's equipment and the state of the dog's bollocks.

We don't particularly like to be in men either!

On another note, I'd love to pair LCY up with Ki Sung-Yong (from Celtic) again, he would be a great addition to the squad, shame he'd probably be out of our price range.

Unleashing the Double Dragon on the Premier League, hell yes. Many of the members on the Korean football board that I frequent have been talking about the possibility. Celtic bought him for 2.1 million pounds last year but I don't know if they'd be willing to sell him anyway.

Probably should have posted this a bit earlier since it's almost halftime already, but if anyone wants to watch:

Just switched it on...
Our man, is he number 17?
What position does he play for the international team?
Realistically what are their chances of winning the whole thing?
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.

Yeah, he's #17. Playing on the right wing, and is occasionally switching to the left.

South Korea are favourites to win according to the bookies

Hahah spectacular shit refereeing. 2-0 Korea and cruising. Bizarre booking for time wasting, followed a few minutes later by a ball slipped into the area down the left channel, defender pulls his shirt out side of the area, it carries on into the box, guy goes down, penalty. Perhaps a bit harsh but he carried on into the box. However, despite the ball being way out of reach of the attacker, and it being just inside the box, and there being at least three of four Korean players back and goal side, he brandishes a red. Korean manager's face was a picture. Utter disbelief. Game on.

Korea easily better than Bahrain up to now, but should be interesting.

We saw it out 2-1 thankfully. That Omani ref was an utter disgrace, taking every opportunity to try and get Bahrain a foothold back into the game. For all you Aussies on the board, welcome to the AFC. This is par for the course for any non-Middle Eastern team.

Australia vs Korea coming up next, should be exciting! This will be only the second time the two teams have met since Australia joined the AFC.

Oh and re: LCY, yes he's the #17 playing on the right, with a bit of license to roam to the left wing or even up front. He had some really great moments today and provided a lot of dangerous balls to his teammates. Seemed more like the LCY we saw last year, although the opposition wasn't exactly Premier League-standard.

Oh and I know Ki Sung Yong has been brought up earlier in this thread, but I think Koo Ja Cheol is a fantastic player that OC should keep an eye on. He scored a brace today and since he's still playing in the Korean domestic league should be a bit cheaper to pick up. He's a year younger than LCY and garnered a lot of interest from Young Boys as well as Blackburn (but Allardyce is gone now, so..).

Here are the first half highlights from today. Koo is the #13 with yellow boots.

Good pictures and CYL looked to have played very well, but that was no red card offense they should appeal it.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Hahah, sad but true, and shocking that they let a Gulf ref oversee a Gulf team. Ah, AFC...

Bahrain when they're actually playing are pretty good, probably the best non-KSA Gulf side but they aren't afraid of grass rash and that was the most spiteful I've seen them. Maybe they thought you guys would get jaded after a few lumps? Don't think they'll have much success trying that with us.

Yep, pretty pumped for that one - we're higher on the rankings but right now you guys are definately the stronger team - I can see Cha Du-Ri and Chungy ripping Dave Carney to shreds and our centre halves are slooooooooooow.

Ref ignores a blatant studs up two footed challenge and then brandishes a red for a nothing foul. What are we, Bolton?
Do they even allow appeals in this tournament?

@SoT: As I mentioned elsewhwre on this forum, Koo is the only Korean player I would consider to be good enough (and affordable) for Bolton. Switzerland's Young Boys want him but can't seem to agree on a price.

Bring on the Aussies!
