Does the clause re: Al Habsi not playing against us stretch to this match as well? He played in their thrid round match, and is therefore cup tied if he does have to return to us this season (not that that is likely).

Regardless of his eligibility in the competition, he won't be able to play against us.KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:Does the clause re: Al Habsi not playing against us stretch to this match as well? I think it's more to do with conflicts of interest than owt else.
who's to say he won't get a bonus at the end of the season should we get to the 5th round of the FA Cup etc..

Re: FA Cup 4th Round
According to Premier League rules no-one can play against their parent club. That isn't the case in the FA Cup though, for instance Sanchez Watt played for Leeds against Arsenal. I would imagine it's either already written in that he can't, or Coyle gets to make a decision, I think Wenger had to decide before the game whether or not to let Watt play.KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:Does the clause re: Al Habsi not playing against us stretch to this match as well? All in all I can't see him playing.

He fckg better not !!
With Kirkland either at Leicester or injured (guess where my money is) that'd have Pollitt first pick. Decent keeper tho ... as we know to our cost !!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It would have been pre-agreed in the loan terms.. Suppose we'll have to wait and see!TKIZ! wrote:Can't see us agree to let Al Habsi play against us.

F*ck it part of me thinks he might chuck the match!
Wenger had to agree to Watt playing on saturday, so I suspect there will be something similiar, and we would doubtless say no....but Coyle is Mr Nice Guy these days!

Dunno, I'm sure there's a number of people who know Brucie one step removed that have lived to tell the tale. Although I agree the odds could be fairly significant.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Glad to hear it. He'd have to be to overcome those odds.Bruce Rioja wrote:Indeed. Hope not. Don't want a replay on this one. Rather get past them in one go for obvious reasons.

One of my mates works with Mrs Pollitt - minefield of insider gossip and info.Bruce Rioja wrote:Indeed. Meant to be a decent guy, despite his obvious failings

Fancy us to do em this weekend. 4-0.
