With two teams with the same aim in mind Sean, if we should lose it will have to be acceptable; it won't be the end of the world. With all the daft results so far it's still open season on everybody. Stoke will give us a battle, that's almost a certainty and an odd-goal win would be great. At least we have the determination, team spirit and energy we've missed in the past. If we play football we can win it but it might be a tight one.

Stoke away is a tough, tough game.

If we get a point we've done well.

Aye - Stoke at home, I'd want us to go all out for 3. Stoke away, I'd be happy with a point, delighted with 3.

We have some interesting fixtures the next few, all of which it's going to be a struggle to get points - we're capable of doing so, but will need to be at our best - and we haven't really been at our best since the MotM curse struck...

Stoke away, Chelsea home, Wolves home, Tottenham away, Everton home, Newcastle away - you could see us getting 5 points from that lot - hopefully we can do better than 5, but 5 wouldn't surprise me.

Then we have Villa home and United away...

I can see us getting anywhere from about 4 to 14 from that lot. Tough to call. Not sure Stoke are quite as strong at home as they were, but it's still a tough game. These are the games with the 'fine margins' we have done well in so far. Is Pea Head back?

Bolton boss Owen Coyle believes Ivan Klasnic will not be available to face Stoke this weekend, while Stuart Holden and Gretar Steinsson are touch and go.

Klasnic netted a late winner against the Potters at the Reebok in October but is set to miss the return fixture after being substituted at half time in the FA Cup win over York.

Gretar Steinsson and Stuart Holden both missed the tricky cup tie against the Minstermen but could be fit for Saturday, although Coyle is not definitely counting on them.

The Bolton boss told the club's official website on Thursday: "Stuart Holden and Gretar Steinsson are both probably going to be touch and go.

"We would hope that they come through training today but then there's always a chance of a reaction, so only time will tell.

"Ivan Klasnic came off against York with a groin injury and it looks as though he won't be available.

"We may be short of numbers but we're not short on quality and we've got to look to show that in the remaining games in the league."

Icelandic club KR Reykjavik are keen on offering Eidur Gudjohnsen the chance to escape his Stoke nightmare and become a player-coach at his former club.

KR, the oldest and most successful club in Iceland, have noted Gudjohnsen's plight at the Britannia and want to talk to him about a return to his home country.

Former Chelsea and Barcelona striker Gudjohnsen has yet to start a Premier League match for Stoke following his arrival in the summer.

The 32-year-old got his big break in European football when he left KR to join Bolton in 1998 and his hometown club have idolised him ever since.

The Icelandic striker has failed to settle at Stoke and has struggled to command a regular place in the side.

Manager Tony Pulis said: "Whether it's Eidur, whether it's Tuncay, whether it's Kenwyne Jones or Ricardo Fuller, the group will always come first for me.

"Eidur is a really good lad but he wants to play every week and you can't blame him for that."

And talkSPORT has learned that KR are keen on offering Gudjohnsen a role back at his old club, although Pulis is adamant the striker is still part of his plans.

Stoke. Away. Injuries. Out of form?

I've got a good feeling about this™.
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.

“Stoke City are a very good side with terrific players,” said the Bolton manager.

“You only need to look in the summer at the money they invested in Kenwyne Jones and these type of players. They have real quality.

Fairly quiet on this page for te day befor the match...

I'm off up the M6 for this. Not sure why - hoping for some escapism from the January blues I think.

If Holden makes it, we've every chance. If not, I would be delighted with a draw.

I'll guess 1-1 with Elmo for us.

On the back of some disappointing results, I'd say this is close to a must-win. That said, I'd still be happy with a point.
I refuse to put the dome on this.

1-2 Elmo and Petrov

Shock horror - Pulis in another 'Gary was doing a great job' dig at Bolton fans.

F*ck off, you sheep-shagging Welsh c*nt!

Can pay on the gate for this. £25.

Tempting.

I reckon around 1000? Could be wrong. Have no proof but when I checked on Weds, it was around 650.

I reckon Danny Ward might get on the bench for this one, he shone against United last night, and we're low on numbers - especially with Klasnic's injury now.
