also - on the bright side re. our position - B'pool losing to West Brom

Fulham have equalised I guess
We are the only team not putting up a fight at the moment, in the whole league
Still, good evidence to get Eddie's chequebook open, new centre mid and a new centre half ASAP

Yup at the minute...Tombwfc wrote:Coyle's style? It's not like we're trying to play football and coming unstuck (a la Tony Mowbray's side's). We're playing shit football and doing it shit.jimbo wrote:5 away defeats in a row, and a run of poor home performances. Maybe Coyle's style is more suited to firmer early/late season pitches than heavy winter pitches. Perhaps a tweak in things to maybe relight the spark that was there a couple of months ago.

Could be a big result/performance for our season this, having just had a look at our fixtures till May...we certainly need to pull fingers out of backsides very quickly.

Re: The Trotters v The Potters
We've got a small squad and its showing.
Isn't this what happens to us every December/January as I predicted?
You can't get by without cover up front when Klasnic is out, or when we have no defensive cover whatsoever, and the midfield is equally sparse.
We need fresh legs to inject some life, Holden looked not quite fit today. If we had a decent option he'd not be playing IMO.
Muamba and Mark Davies are both equally shite IMO.
Knight is just going through an awful spell but again, we have nobody pushing him from the bench, no options to replace him. Big test for Coyle this, we can't go through January with the whole "we don't need players we'll not overpay" attitude if he wants to stay out of the bottom 7 or 8. If he's happy for a 14th place finish then fine but if we're striving for better than Megson did we're going to have to get some money spent and Coyle is going to have to make some big decisions and stop bottling it IMO!

Re: The Trotters v The Potters
Woeful. That is all. Rodrigo showed promise.
I blame the wind. Or Megson.

Did I say that we were very very poor, better in the second half but still very very poor.
Manager lost his touch, players not performing, err haven't we been here before!!!!
