Horizon. Summat about reality. I've gotta stop watching these programmes.
Re: What are you watching tonight?
I stopped after one last year. Spent the entire next week unsure as to whether I actually existed. Don't watch them!superjohnmcginlay wrote:Horizon. Summat about reality. I've gotta stop watching these programmes.

It's very dry with a couple of laugh out loud moments.CrazyHorse wrote:Got them on series link but not watched it yet. I wasn't sure if I was going to bother but I take it you think it's well worth a giving it a go then?Gary the Enfield wrote:Episode two of 'Episodes'.

Trying to get through the films that were nominated for Best Foreign Film at last year's Oscars.
Last night was The Secret in Their Eyes, and today I've just finished A Prophet. Both awesome.

Well, just watched Avatar and to me complete surprise thought that it was absolutely superb. It must've been incredible to see it at the flicks in 3D.
May the bridges I burn light your way

Has anyone else watched that quiz on BBC4, Only Connect?
It's amazing. It's clearly the hardest quiz show ever. Contestants are given a series of clues and have to guess what connects them. There's also a bit on the bbc website where you can have a go

its brilliant, and i'd love to apply for it. I'd be rubbish like, but i think it's a great show.

Just finished the third one on 4oD (btw, it is wank on the PS3). It's typical Shameless of recent times. Every episode has at least one brilliantly written moment, some are better as a whole than others, but it's certainly a decent way to spend 3/4s of an hour. The above quoted line however caused my drink to vacate my mouth via my nose, and left me giggling for about half an hour. First possible opportunity to use that!

Saw it at the Printworks in 3D. Thoroughly enjoyed it, but at the back of my mind was the constant niggling thought "I can't believe I've just paid £11 to watch a film at the cinema".Bruce Rioja wrote:Well, just watched Avatar and to me complete surprise thought that it was absolutely superb. 'Tis a tough quiz Verbal. I like the bit with the board, and the four mixed up connections. And there's something strangely sensual about Vicky Coren.

Bruce in 3D in the cinema it was a superb experience, in terms of the effects and immersion.Bruce Rioja wrote:Well, just watched Avatar and to me complete surprise thought that it was absolutely superb. It must've been incredible to see it at the flicks in 3D.
Storyline however is dire.
But overall it was enjoyable and impressive enough.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
must admit i tuned in again last night, maybe i was in a better mood but it was the funniest in ages, enjoyed it that much i watched next weeks on E4 too, also decent. Just needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.Prufrock wrote:KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:Hmm. Been OK. strange that Carl had a 21st in the middle of a massive estate and yet there were no other lads of similar age there, no mates, none of his brothers came back! typical soap land scenario i suppose, but its things like that that really bug me!

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I watched the thing with Kara Tointon last night about Dyslexsia, not what I would have actually picked to watch but it was on when I turned the TV on and found it really interesting...more worrying is how even in this day and age some people with dyslexsia are not properly diagnosed and still called stupd, difficult etc
