Good news, Owen says he has more transfer targets then a bit about Wheater losing to him at Table Tennis.

Okay.. So now because we have spent money on Wheater, that means we're willing to knock £7 Million off of the asking price for Cahill? In order to service the debt? Leaving us potentially £10 Million worse off?TKIZ! wrote:http://www.sportinglife.com/football/pr ... eater.html

Didn't Ireland once say he'd never sign for us. Something along the lines of that we're not the sort of club he wants to progress his career in?David Lee's Hair wrote:Stephen Ireland...

Wouldn't surprise me if we have interest as I reckon we're after two loan players.David Lee's Hair wrote:Stephen Ireland...

Would surprise me if we managed to do a deal considering Villa want his 60K wages off the books and can't see us paying that in full.
Can't see where he'd play in our 4-4-2 system!
Re: January transfer window...
Think it's a combination of getting some wages off the books but also hoping he can regain his form thus increasing his transfer fee next summer. Right now they are looking like they might lose money.BWFC_Insane wrote:Wouldn't surprise me if we have interest as I reckon we're after two loan players.David Lee's Hair wrote:Stephen Ireland...

And if we sell Cahill, we're no better off for defensive cover, unless we have another CD lined up....boltonboris wrote:Okay.. Had a couple friends putting the same thing forward to me yesterday. Had to explain we were very short in that position and getting another CB in was imperative even if we don't sell Cahill so the move has no meaning.

Re: January transfer window...
I think i'll just wait for the next Nixon article
I recall Wenger saying a decision would be made about Vela after their replay with Leeds, so that should resurface soon one way or another.
The Stephen Ireland one seems to have come out of the blue, but the site the rumour is on looks like tribalfootball's bastard son, conceived by accidident in a dark alley behind Ritzy's after a night on the lambrini with talksport.

According to the Daily Facist... Who also confirm our interest, no one else is running the story. Not saying ti's wrong, but I'll wait until more are running it before believing it.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Ireland's off to Newcastle.
Hmmmm... Nixon said that on the Jackburn forum yesterday. Something to tell us?BWFC_Insane wrote: Wouldn't surprise me if we have interest as I reckon we're after two loan players.

Re: January transfer window...
Better than passing it off as your own though I'd suggest.
Anyway, Stephen Ireland going to Newcastle sums him up as a person. He should be begging Coyle to help sort his career out.
