KEVIN Davies and John Terry will lay a floral tribute in front of the Nat Lofthouse Stand before Monday night’s game against Chelsea.

The two club captains will then lead a minute’s silence at the Reebok, in what will be the first Wanderers game since the passing of the club’s legendary former striker.

Whites fans have been asked to get to their seats 20 minutes before kick-off, when a video tribute to Lofthouse will be played on the big screens.

“I think it’s important that we as a club and Bolton as a town celebrate Nat’s life on Monday night,” Owen Coyle told The Bolton News.

“I hope there will be a great atmosphere, and it would be nice if we could put in a big performance and get a result against Chelsea, recognising they are one of the strongest teams in the Premier League.”
What a tit that John Terry is. Hate the man.
Well ... quite.

Though, despite my general nature being to presume the worst in people ... & I'm rarely let down, I can't quite see it from this particular action. Or maybe he'll lay the wreath the wrong way ??

Not THE kit, but a replica.
That sounds like a nice idea but the sponsors wouldn't like it. Unless it's a 1958 kit with the current orange logo on it.
I don't think they would have much choice, on the anniversary of the Munich disaster Citeh and ManYoo played in replicas of their strips from that year without sponsorship on.

I'm just saying, it could happen
A creative marketing man would find a way of it happening, with huge class & dignity & then getting the company logo in the publicity around it, and gaining some kudos from actively NOT having it on the shirt specifically.

Then again, a classy, creative marketing man wouldn't have that fckg horrible orange blob as the company logo in the first place.

But it's not all about YOU.

You have the next 90 minutes to give him all the abuse you want.

I know, that'll be my motivation.

Then I'll spend the next 90mins back at normal operating levels.

Whatever he is, I don't see this as anything but a gesture of respect. I hope the fans do the same. Save the boos for when he makes a save with his hand.

Not being funny but its highly unlikely John Terry has offered to do this.

He'll have been asked. And he can hardly say no.

Not sure it says anything about his character or owt.

Can't stand him but will save the abuse up for after kick off.

... though I suppose a creative, and respectful, option would be to let Anelka do it on his behalf as he will actually have known the guy.

Or just leave Chelsea out altogether and let any surviving members of the 58 team be the ones with the flowers.

Or a few BWFC legends (not Nicky Summerbee)

Match report needed please - especially for this one, as it would be great for those not present to get a feel for the Nat tributes beforehand.

Looks like star shagger might not be fit
John Terry has given Chelsea a fresh injury scare to contend with as Frank Lampard also battles to prove his fitness for Monday's trip to Bolton.

The club had been confident over Lampard's recovery from a minor calf injury but manager Carlo Ancelotti admitted the midfielder's participation remains in doubt, along with that of England team-mate Terry, who has a back problem.

He said of Lampard: "He's having treatment.

"John Terry also had a little problem on his back.

"We have three days to check them. We have more possibility with Terry. Lampard, really, I don't know if he's available or not."

I expect they'll both start. Can't see a bad back stopping Terry playing although had he trapped his fingers in a door....

Just more managerial games. They might not start, but they'll both play if there's any danger of losing, , bet on it.

Chelsea to do the double over us , due to our now charitable status of helping teams down on their luck .Terry to get away with at least one blatant handball. S.K.D . booked early for his persistent!!!fouling Chelsea defence allowed to wrestle any of our players to the ground within their penalty area.Drogba to go down screaming like a girl anywhere within shooting range of our goal. any goal we get to be deemed offside or disallowed unless it's an own goal scored by us. Lampard if playing to score '' 'cause he always does ''.
