Cagey 1-1 draw; both teams favored to advance out of the group. LCY did decently but didn't set the place alight. The young MFer I mentioned above, Koo Ja Cheol, scored again.

In the absence of a Wanderers' game this Saturday, perhaps some of you would fancy watching Chungy and co. take on Iran in the Quarterfinals. I'll be posting a stream shortly, kickoff is in about 10 minutes or so.

You've gotta love those camera angles, and movements. Awesome stuff.
Hope we get them in the Prem.

I agree, from a technical standpoint this tournament has really impressed me. I'm glad they also added the wire camera a-la American football. It gets some great shots you normally don't see, and some really good offside snapshots as well. I've also noticed that highlight-reel quality clips are shown just minutes after a goal is scored.RobbieSavagesLeg wrote:You've gotta love those camera angles, and movements. Awesome stuff.

The games haven't been half bad either.

Yes, it's currently 0-0 at halftime. Korea have had some really good chances and Chungy had a penalty shout.

Korea will take on Japan in the semifinal next Tuesday. It should be a really exciting game; Japan have some exciting players in Europe such as Honda and Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund.
Re: Chungy on a busman's holiday.
Already have lots of bookings for that game. Have to say from a business standpoint I have to back Japan. Most of my Korean customers are not very interested in football. Should be an excellent match. Not sure I want too many Koreans and Japanese together in one place for an event like this anyhow.SonsOfThunder wrote:Korea will take on Japan in the semifinal next Tuesday. What an intriguing post.

And why don't you "want too many Koreans and Japanese together in one place for an event like this anyhow"?

This might just have something to do with it.RobbieSavagesLeg wrote: And why don't you "want too many Koreans and Japanese together in one place for an event like this anyhow"?

Run a pub in Bangkok. Koreans and Japanese don't really have a lot of love for each other. The Koreans being the more bitter of the two groups for reasons I can understand. Throw in the alcohol and an important match like this and it might get a bit ugly.RobbieSavagesLeg wrote:seanworth wrote:Already have lots of bookings for that game. Awesome. Next time I'm in Bangkok for a business trip, I'll see if I can drop by.seanworth wrote: Run a pub in Bangkok. Koreans and Japanese don't really have a lot of love for each other. The Japanese shouldn't give you too much trouble even if they lose. The Koreans on the other hand... Just hope that the refs keep this one tight.

On another note, as pleased as I am to see Korea progress, bit disappointed with Chungy's contributions. He's missing a lot of important games for this.
Plus it's impossible to see a Bolton game live now that he's not involved.

Always welcome, just let me know. And yes it is the Koreans I am concerned about. In fact from experience more concerned about the Korean women than the men.midnitefooty wrote:Awesome. LOL. What can I say, alcohol and fighting are two of Korea's national pastimes.seanworth wrote:Always welcome, just let me know. And yes it is the Koreans I am concerned about. Re: Chungy on a busman's holiday.
Still remember the night Korea won their first World Cup game ever. Had a Korean woman who insisted on playing pool despite her condition. She went for a shot, caught her heel on a tile and flew head first into a brick wall and knocked herself out. After about 20 minutes of icepacks she gave me a bollocking for not letting her play again that evening. Now that girl was a handfull.SonsOfThunder wrote:LOL.
