Re: Steinsson on the left
Everton at Goodison was right-wing, with the might-have-been-a-decent-full-back-back-when-he-could-run Andy O'Brien playing behind him.
I can't remember him ever playing him on the left. I presume injuries would've meant he did at some point. Where did he end up at Sunderland away last year? I remember Chung-Yong-Lee playing right-back, but I don't know where Steinsson was.

Re: Steinsson on the left
It was definitely AOB. He gave away a penalty when Jo dived over his invitingly out-stretched knee and was generally shite throughout the whole of the first half. Mind you, Megson should never have put him there in the first place.
I think that's the worst half of Premier League football I've seen us play in the last four years. However, I bet it won't take long for someone to identify a performance that plumbed even greater depths.

Re: Steinsson on the left
Post-Lisbon Wigan away is the barometer for shit performances from which all shit performances should be measured. Everything about that was woeful, even before you'd got to the Megson masterplan of 'Rest players in the Uefa Cup, beat Wigan on Sunday. Happy days'.

Ooh, now then. Fulham away 2008 was pretty f*cking dire. However, Tom has a good shout with Wigan away. JOB on the wing anyone?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I think asking us to recall that is cruel and unusual posting...Lord Kangana wrote:Ooh, now then. Fulham away 2008 was pretty f*cking dire. However, Tom has a good shout with Wigan away. JOB on the wing anyone?

That's the one I was thinking of. Couldn't remember the year - think I had subconciously blocked it out, till nowLord Kangana wrote:Ooh, now then. Fulham away 2008 was pretty f*cking dire. However, Tom has a good shout with Wigan away. JOB on the wing anyone?

I don't think we've ever been desperate enough to even contemplate sticking that donkey on the left

That Fulham game was about the worst I've seen since the 80s
But I did get to meet LK for the first time among a few others from on here
