More chance that we'll get a huge crowd than them not cheating. Cheating bastards

Not sure about that one - we've lost 0-1 the last couple of occasions, though we did beat them about 8 years back

And they've won 7 in a row at the Reebok and in those games we haven't scored once.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Not sure about that one - we've lost 0-1 the last couple of occasions, though we did beat them about 8 years back
So I'd suggest saying we've "done well against them" when probably without knowing the stats, since we've been back in the premier league they're the side we've taken the least points off, might be a bit inaccurate!

the 3-3 was back in november 1957... that was a cold night..
maybe you're remembering the 4-3 from April 2009 at their place? (when we were 4-0 down and pulled back 3 goals??)
(Basham scored one of them!)

Why did we sell him, he's a guaranteed scorer against top four sides. Poor management.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Branagan, Frandsen, Taggart, Sellars, Thompson, Bergsson, Beardsley (Pollock, 82 ) , Blake, Phillips, Fish, Holdsworth
and deano scored the winner

I remember being at Stamford Bridge when we won 2-1 with that shagger scoring an OG in the last minute - about 2003?

We were 0-4 down in that one, so not sure how that can be 'played well', no matter how many we scored once they took their foot off the pedal

Better to be pessimistic, then when we win 5-0 tonight it'll seem much sweeter.aussie_wanderer wrote:u gota play for 90 mins, we almost snatched a goal at the depth,Lofthouse Lower wrote:We were 0-4 down in that one, so not sure how that can be 'played well', no matter how many we scored once they took their foot off the pedal

as long as the players go into the game confident,
Re: Bolton Vs Chelsea
oh I think there is far more chance of that no than there was under immediately previous management... Coyle is making all the right noises about believeing we can beat them..aussie_wanderer wrote:as long as the players go into the game confident,
tho - I, for one, will believe him a bit more on the day when we actually DO take a big scalp... we still haven't yet under Coyle, have we?

Re: Bolton Vs Chelsea
By their own admission, confidence is low at Chelsea; what better way to restore belief than at a ground where they are unbeaten in over 13 years?
The champions' shocking loss of form since October has been well documented: five league defeats, 13 points from a possible 36, just two wins from their last 10. Last weekend's 2-0 defeat of Blackburn was long overdue, but one league victory can hardly be said to constitute a revival.
The good news for Blues fans is that they head to Bolton with a record of 12 wins from their last 15 encounters with the Lancashire club, and no defeats. Fourteen goals have been plundered without reply on their last seven trips to the Reebok, including a 4-0 victory on their most recent visit in 2009.
Bolton, meanwhile, appear to be suffering their own crisis of confidence. Owen Coyle's men are still without a Premier League win in 2011, a loss of form that started with a 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge in December's reverse fixture.
Monday marks the first Wanderers game since the passing of club legend Nat Lofthouse![]()
, who died last Sunday. Captains Kevin Davies
and John Terry
will lay a floral tribute before the match in honour of the club's legendary striker, who played more than 500 games and scored 285 times for the Trotters between 1946 and 1960.
