First 5 / 10 mins we played excellent, high tempo & moved the ball around well...after that it was poor and a little embarrasing, Chelsea never got out of 2nd gear

Yet again Jussi was a liability (should have saved the 2nd & 3rd goals IMO), he's gone as a premier league keeper, K Davies & Elmander are non existant upfront its like having 2 carthorses upfront, poor movement & shocking 1st touches....we are desperate for pace upfront because we are so predictable to play against at the moment

We continue to give the ball away needlessly when in possession....all I can say is its a good job we got points on the board early in the season because on this form we've no chance of finishing top half (prob 14th / 15th),

First goal was a cracker but the "concentric" ball went all over the place. Jussi was deceived by the flight. Other three all resulted from gift passes and rebounds. We were in it till their second then we went all over the place and finished looking two leagues below Chelsea. Cech made a wonder save from Taylor's header; perfectly placed and a goal all the way.

Watched the game with a Scouse-supporting mate and commented again on how our defence keep getting in each others way when the ball comes in the box. Came home head down but it isn't the end of the world. We're still eighth and need a win badly. Steinsson didn't impress at all tonight and not sure why he played ahead of Rickets. Moreno needs a start or two because he can't do worse than Petrov and Mark Davis needs a slot somewhere. KD is being nullified by being refereed out of the game; some of the challenges on him tonight were ridiculous. He needs a rest; maybe play Mark Davis behind Elmander. Nothing can be much worse than tonight's second half, we were outclassed.

Lets hope coyle pulls a couple of rabbits out the hat before the window closes. Could be a long second half to the season else. Not sure what more he can do with what's available unless he tries a new system and that seems very unlikely.

Good send off for Nat. The tears were held back and I was full of optimism......

Shame we were so f*cking spineless during the game

I hope Drogba, Terry and Cashley share a needle on the way home and gets aids.
Troll and proud of it.

What a shower of absolute fecking shite. Spineless bottleless shithouses. Naming the MotM was fecking ridiculous too. Oh it's Holden is it, for what, being, at best, the 12th best player on the pitch? Chelsea are, to a man, c*nts, and yet despite being played of the pitch we didn't manage a single booking. Kick the f*ckers heads off. Drogba in particular needs a proper twatting. Nearest we got was Muamba accidentally running over Ramires twice. Even Robinson only managed to get one of the feckers, and that was Ramires again. Poor lad only came to England in the summer, must be wondering why we targeted him when you have one of the finest collection of cheating wankers ever seen.

We're 9th and heading south at a very worrying rate.

We don't need new players, we just need the ones back who were going so well in the first half of the season.

Before the game was superb, the crowd stood up watching the screen, the spontaneous applause. Lots of tears in lots of grown mens eyes, mine included.

The performance was back to the worst and I mean the very worst under Megson. Bright and bustly opening 10 minutes but wiith little quality then totally, completely and utterly spineless rest of the game. Outplayed in ever sense. Ok Chelsea were good but we made them look better than we should and could have done. Lets remember this is a Chelsea team without an away win since October. They have good players, better than us by a long way and were always likely to win tonight, but we made it embarrasingly easy for them!

Second goal they scored was abysmal from our part.

Coyle needs to take some blame here aswell. Naive team selection, Petrov and embarrassment. Couldn't get a decent cross or corner in and by the time he did it was game over. I wonder how much we're paying Petrov because he isn't producing.

On the plus side thought Muamba was better. And if anyone was scouting Cahill there is little chance of anyone bidding big for him after tonights efforts.

This is the first time Coyle has a real big test on his hands. He's under pressure the team is under pressure and I suggest we'll know find out what he is made of.

Big decisions re team to play Wigan and then the crucial Wolves game.

Warning signs are there, every year one team slips from the top half into the relegation picture right now it looks like it could be us unless we pull things together quickly.

EDIT: And what was worse was they did no justice to Nat's memory. In fact I don't think there was one player on our side who can say they left everything out on the pitch, and 11 players who could say that today was all anybody asked!

Difference between 1-0 and 4-0. Jussi.

Look at the 3 scored after Drogba's goal and he could have saved 3.

You could probably make a case that he was also the difference between 4-0 and 7-0.

Either way, Jussi and Al Habsi could've been in net for us and it wouldn't change the result.

bollox... the second was a fortunate deflect back of cahill to give him an open (though) narrow goal - Jussi had to commit himself for the first shot else we'd all have moaned he didn't move..

the 3rd goal - KD's fault... why doesn't he get any blame for setting up a slide-rule pass to give them 5-on-4 with us having bombed forward..

Jussi is not at his best - but - FFS - he was NOT the difference between 1-0 and 4-0 - he was massively exposed by the back four and the midfield today sloppily giving the fecking ball away and inviting chelsea on...

Have a word with yourselves,

SKD, shite game?

Look at Elmander, look at Holden. Look at Petrov. Look at Knight, Steinsson.

Knight played too deep tonight. 2 goals could have been offside tonight had he pushed up.

Davies played with his heart on his sleeve tonight, something he hasn't done for a few games.

Don't know what was up with Holden, motm was a joke.

Muamba was well up for it until he was subbed.

Bring on Wolves.

Don't know why but I think we are going to smash em 5-0.

They were all shit. Jussi fooked up for the first one, but then he saved about 4 more that were really top drawer saves later on. They were all shit. Don't know if I said that.

Jussi or Bogdan you mean.

That aside,

Jussi was garbage tonight as was Zat Knight.

The amount of times he sat deep when the rest of the defence pushed up was ridiculous.

Yes, Davies was terrible, absolutely dreadful in fact! Give your head a shake. But he wasnt alone tbf.

Was Holdens worst game in a Bolton shirt too, yet still motm. It was shitter than shit - must forget about it and move on. We tore wolves a new one at theirs, can't help but feel it will be totally different this time!

This was a tough night, difficult to bear given the occasion.

After the opening 10 or so Chelsea were better than us all over the pitch. They murdered us without needing to break sweat. Organised, physical, skilful on the ball and with world class players able to make a difference when they wished (one of whom used to play for us...).

Sometimes you just have to say we were outplayed, beginning, middle and end, and just move on. I had by the time we got back to the car. This happens when you support Bolton Wanderers - you are made to get real. And you still go next time. Because dreams can sometimes be teal...

There is good news - we don't play them again until next season... We play Wigan and Wolverhampton next... I'll be there... Watching our season rescued (or so I dream)...

He didn't have a shxte game; he just got exploited as he does almost every game. Managers hint at "a dirty player" to influence refs, defenders know they can kick shxt out of him and get away with it. He got hit by as many balls as Drogba, a big powerful player who knows how to cheat, yet KD got climbed all over, pushed in the back and leaned on. . Davies never cheats and gets fxck all, it's a stone cold fact. For that reason maybe he needs a rest. He's our strongest player currently made into our weakest link by bias. What does the guy have to do?
