No footballers live in London though, they all live in Kent... They need to keep it real and get down with the homies in Hackney like me innit...

SWP on a free transfer? I'd be tempted by that you know. Get him playing well and then flog him to Tottingham as an ideal brown paper bag filler for 'arry

Have you ever been for longer than a day trip?

More soul on the planet Tharg and I still haven't found a "decent part of it". Yes, there's the odd trip out to do which is ok but then against that it's full of people that are so far up themselves, they can see their tonsils. I did live down there for a while (not particularly by choice) and have spent 6 months or so on a few occasions since.

You couldn't pay me enough to move there permanently.

I think it's a statement that OC isn't Muamba's biggest fan.

Great story. Compelling, and rich.

Maybe punctuation would help?

Most people with money don't live in London - they've usually got more sense - they might have a flat there for midweek though.

This Morel, what sort of defender is he?

SWP loan might work very well, allowing CYL some rest/rotation

Still intrigued by Vela, although worried he's not the manboy for a struggling team

Pratley seems a solid unspectacular buy in a place we desperately need help (and doesn't mean Holden or Muamba are on the way out)

Really? I'd be tempted to disagree, or maybe re-phrase it to "most people with money and kids"... Younger people with money tend to stay in London. Why not? You really never run out of things to do.

I bet you were happy when you moved there. Off to London, no doubt. Go to London! I guarantee you'll either be mugged or not appreciated. Catch the train to London, stopping at Rejection, Disappointment, Backstabbing Central and Shattered Dreams Parkway.

I ran out of things to do after about 4 months. After that, there was nothing much left that I couldn't do in any major city in the UK. And many of the other cities in the UK manage it at half the price and with a much more welcoming outlook from the people that inhabit them.

4 months really? You ever have a rather limited scope of things you want to see or you didn't know half of what you could go and do. You'd struggle to get through the museums alone in 4 months doing one a day, and most of them are free...

Aye but you could say that for any city in the country probably. I think if you want musicals, theatres, high end restaurants, up market bars etc then London is ace for those. I worked there for a 3 days a week for 2 months and you can't fault it for that sort of thing, museums as well as you say.

I just don't find it a very pleasant place for all the reasons that have already been mentioned on this thread. Some people love it and I can see why. I'd love the restaurant choice they have there up here for example, but for me all that is not worth the dirt, the general unpleasantness of many of the people there, the tube (urghhhhh) and the fact its full of either irritating yuppy business types or mockernees or worse "real" cockernees or wannabes from Essex!

Each to their own I guess.

Well yes - I did a few museums amongst plenty of other things whilst I was down there - wouldn't want to make a career of it though. No major interest in seeing them all and some I'd been to previously.

Need a replacement first, then he can piss off
The Tynesiders are the latest to be linked with Elmander along with Liverpool, Tottenham, Lazio and Fiorentina.

It is believed that United are looking at offering around £12 million.

I thought that at first - and said to myself - that looks a decent deal.

Then I spotted that it's 26th Jan and our striking capability would look fairly sparse without Elmander...

Our other forwards have managed 5 goals from open play between them (I think) 3 for Davo and 2 for Kalsnic..

It made me sad to see Anelka and his replacement on the pitch at the same time.

Sigh

They were daft enough to spunk £4m? on that useless lump Nolan and look where that's got them.
