Bish have no fear. This is apparently "Murray's greatest ever chance to win a grand slam" what with Fed express and Nads out.
So he will inevitably bottle it and lose the semi final in the most pitiful way possible!

Apple Mac users. You know who you are.
I don't care that it's "a thing of beauty". No it isn't; it's a curvy piece of coloured plastic. So's my toothbrush.
I don't care that "it just works" out of the box. So pretty much like just about everything else you buy then?
Now shut up and stop going on about how much better than Windows it is. I DON'T CARE!

You might find it is - reading the report it seems to be called the "nose distraction technique"Il Pirate wrote:A 14 year old boy should and could have been restrained using approved techniques. Punching him in the face isn't one of them. If the same restraining technique works on a raging psychotic 20 stone fella doing a life term, I'm sure it could be applied to a child.
I do like it when people on here who probably haven't been in the same position as the warders know how easy it is to stop a 14 year old when they completely flip. There used to be a girl - mid twenties, about 5ft and a fag paper, thin, alcoholic - that used to frequent pubs in Swinton. She was barred from most of them, but the ban would get lifted and back she'd go. She had a reputation for kicking off over very little. It used to take 4/6 coppers to try and restrain her and then they certainly used to come off with various cuts, bruises, bite-marks etc. Frankly they should have just sparkled her first go.
Maybe they should all be armed with elephant tranquilizer guns and just pop the perp at the first sign of trouble.

I think the "people on here" are simply taking seriously the court which decided that the force used was excessive and unlawful.
surely the court case is the best source we have for a judgement from people in possession of all the facts and the evidence?

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
You can never win on these things.
Half the population think that not rights deserve a good kicking and that rules that stop this from happening prevent the likes of teachers, police, wardens etc from adequately protecting themselves.
The other half think that those rules protect the categories of people listed above from abusing their powers and dishing out kickings when and where they feel like.
Argument will never be resolved IMHO!

What are you doing spending your day listening to R5 all day anyways? That would be enough to make me angry! Talk radio for longer than 10 minutes becomes tedious IMO!thebish wrote:arghhh...

I think "people on here" need to read what I wrote. It didn't mention the 14 year old in question, Mr Inpossessionofallthefacts. I was contending that stopping anyone who flips, be then 14 or 40 isn't easy.thebish wrote:Worthy4England wrote: I do like it when people on here who probably haven't been in the same position as the warders know how easy it is to stop a 14 year old when they completely flip.

Which fact did you read that refutes that?

well, for one thing - I haven't seen any "people on here" anywhere claim that it is EASY to stop a 14 year old when they completely flip...
I have seen people saying that four trained professionals should not be resorting to unlawful and excessive force...
I don't think that is controversial...
(BTW.. I HAVE spent time (albeit short) in a young offenders institution - and it is NOT easy - but neither is it usually necessary to resort to excessive and unlawful violence - and, in the case we are talking about - the court agreed.)

Oh dear god this. Can we extend it to all Apple jazz though? I've seen people I know and love turned into insufferable c*nts by the iPhone. Stop showing me the mildly amusing things it can do CONSTANTLY. They should be banned from pubs.
