Fully paid up member in 1987, I think, when I lived in London East YMCA (just behind Liverpool Street station) for a while. Oh shit, I now have an "A" - this facade of intelligence is crumbling around me - I must go and read some science books to restore the balance.

That said, that word always strikes as sounding wrong, 'more clever' sounds far nicer. That would be the bestest option I feel.
