Re: Sturridge Signs
Hold on, I never said I wanted anything.
All I said was that we've only been fun to watch for that month. It's not the end of the world, if we played like that all the time we'd win the league, but I think anyone who's seen us would agree that it's a fair comment. We're pretty ordinary to watch most of the time.

Re: Sturridge Signs
Good loan signing, he seems promising.
Re: Sturridge Signs
I'd happily take this season from now until whenever. Provided we don't completely capitulate (we won't), this is as good as it gets. Slightly depressing in itself, but that's football.
This doesn't mean I think we're fun to watch. We're not. We're on average no more or less fun to watch than we ever have been in the PL.
FWIW, I'd also happily have taken the 08/09 season every year.

staying up in transition, so would I but we have moved on and this team is a work in progress, as per OCTombwfc wrote:I'd happily take this season from now until whenever. Re: Sturridge Signs
The fun I have watching them play is the same regardless. I will always be glued to BWFC matches because in a second we could score and it'll make my Saturday.jaffka wrote:staying up in transition, so would I but we have moved on and this team is a work in progress, as per OCTombwfc wrote:I'd happily take this season from now until whenever. Again, this hasn't changed for better or for worse under Coyle.
I don't get why people say it's a transition, what are we transitioning to? This is it. We're either mid-table mediocrity or we're going to get relegated. There are at least 8 teams in the league who regularly buy players that double or triple our record signing.

Re: Sturridge Signs
Aye. Two good signings. If we'd have scooped the midfielder Coyle was clearly after it would have been an excellent window.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Very true but even so when you think of the number of windows when we signed any old johnny foreigner on low wages at the last minute to appease the fans then this just like last jan under coyle is pretty good.Lord Kangana wrote:Aye. I'd stick him and Moreno up front on Wednesday. Give those shithouse old gold nice people something to worry about

He is cup-tied. He played (and scored a couple) in Chelsea's seven niller V's Ipswich.

Re: Sturridge Signs
Not really.. He's a million times closer to Chelsea's first team, than he would have been at CityAthers wrote:Bags of pace as we know, but I've always thought it seems like he's going to miss a chance, remember against us once he blew about three one on ones? Still young though and just made a terrible career choice in going to Chelsea.
Anyway should be an interesting and different option up front - we've now got Lee, Sturridge and Moreno who are ruddy quick.

Re: Sturridge Signs
Not to mention he's about £45,000 per week better off
Re: Sturridge Signs
two young signings, hopefully shake things up a bit. Hopefully it will remind players no one should rest on their laurels.
Re: Sturridge Signs
I guess it must be true - cos here's the PSG - and it's not danny welbeck...

(for any journos who are not DSB tuning in, Sturridge is the one on the right as we are looking at it...)
