nope - that season was a win and a draw... we won away and drew at home

(maybe the draw FELT like a win - cos KD equalised in the 85th minute...)

our last league double over them was in the championship 2000/2001
I went to that away game, parked near an industrial estate on a car park of a disused pub, strangely named the Waggon and Horses!

Got to the ground a couple of minutes late to find about 100 others had bothered to make the journey. To top it all off, a Wolves fan from the upper tier lobbed a cig down that landed in my hood, burning my jacket along with my neck and some of my hair!

We won though... 2-0 I recall, Ricketts, then Holdsworth with a cracking angled finish

According to the Wolves forum they are bringing 1,600+ fans, however tickets are only £20 so they might be closer to 2,000. Only got bottom tier though.

If Sturridge starts it may perk the team up as I think we need a quick start and preferably an early goal to settle the team down and get back some much needed confidence otherwise I think we might struggle.

IF Strurridge starts 2 - 0 (Holden, Cahill)

IF NOT 0 - 0

I remember that game boris. Was it midweek? Seem to remember going after college - mate bought me the ticket for my birthday too AND drove us. Freebie-tastic.

We wore that never-bettered blue away kit too 8)

I worry we're pinning our hopes on a Riga-style saviour. I know Sturridge is a young, talented striker, but everyone seems to think we've signed Lionel Messi FFS!! Please, NO ONE get a shirt with Sturridge on til we've seen him bag a few. I've seen it done with Elmander & Jardel before they'd even kicked a ball.....and look what happened

Indeed. I'm surprised they haven't got Wheater down for a hat trick too.

I don't think anyone truly believes Sturridge is 'the saviour' instead more of a player to help steady the ship.

I agree I was merely suggesting that some fresh blood up front may help us find some much needed confidence, we've scored 4 goals in our last 6 games and that incudes 2 against York......Elmander hasn't scored in 6 league games and Davies has scored 1 goal in 11 games so maybe the introduction of Sturridge might help both / one of them re-discover some form. I also think that with abit pace up front the Wolves defence will have to defend a little deeper so Holden / M. Davies may have more freedom to play.

I think Sturridge is the saviour. Even better than Riga, Andranik, Paul Wheatcroft, Mike Jeffrey and Postman Jeff combined.

Never seen him play, mind, but I've just staked my house on him scoring over 200 goals in the remainder of the season.

I agree with those comments Latham, and I wasn't specifically talking about you when I said people are proclaiming him as the saviour. So many are saying he should start and he'll score, and that he's the answer to our prayers....which is a saviour is it not?

No, that's Rodrigo, along with Mavis and Sturridge. Bit like a holy trinity...

I think it'd be an interesting debate to have a think about our all time "SAVIOUR-XI". I bet there have been enough to fill a 25 man squad over the past 10 years never mind further than that.

You can only be a saviour if you're a forward

I think that is my favorite matchday moment ever...thousands of stupid baying midlanders getting so wound up over a giant cuddly toy flexing his muscles at them - i still cry with laughter to this day :D

Imagine the scene:

Tonight
Lofty doing his routine in front of them
Whips lion head off
McGinlay there 8)

You've brought this up a few times LL and to honest, it excites me every time (giddy, not sexual)
