But trashing the Three Crowns, Little Lever every other Saturday night certainly is.

You should know better - you can't say that. It's a "p" word.jaffka wrote:pikeys, round em up...

They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

all very amusing..jaffka wrote:pikeys, round em up...
I believe that was done once before - that fellah with the moustache - rounded them up and killed them - half a million of them - almost the entire Eastern European Gypsy population, in fact...

Ah Godwin's Law, nice to see you invoked again.
"Young people, nowadays, imagine money is everything."
"Yes, and when they grow older they know it."

as good as invoked by the phrase "round them up" in relation to gypsies...
genocide - not (in my book) funny - though, I understand others may think it is.

Either way, can we all just draw a line under all of today's palaver? There's a game on tonight.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
but this IS the "what are you watching" thread - for discussing stuff what we are watching, surely?Verbal wrote:Indeed.thebish wrote:Verbal wrote:Ah Godwin's Law, nice to see you invoked again.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
A gypsy said to me the other day that the people in that program weren't gypsies. They were travellers (think we used to call them Tinkers in the olden days). He was upset when I told him the ethnicity monitoring forms we use at work dont differentiate and they are all labelled as gypsy/traveller

"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"

Godwin's law doesn't apply to the discussion of genocide. Which "round 'em up" falls into. I'd like to be happy to help, but frankly its just tiresome to have to think on behalf of others.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I heard on the wireless this morning that over the counter paternity kits are now available; so that's the end of the Jeremy Kyle show then!thebish wrote:ratbert wrote:
What Caps says... and as for Jeremy Kyle, I don't watch it and when I have I don't particularly approve of the public way people on there wash their emotional linen.
indeed - and several gypsies I have spoken to don't approve of the behaviour shown in "Gypsy Wedding" - it is no more representative of your average gypsy family than Jerly Kyle's fodder-families are representative of yours...

May the bridges I burn light your way

I think the discussion is perhaps a little bit beyond you, CAPS - but - keep trying... you never know, one day you might stumble across summat that actually makes sense...
