F*ck all of them. That Jenas 'tackle' today on Chungy was worth three red cards, Worst tackle I've ever seen. The c*nt was DYING to give that third pen as well, and then has the cheek to book Cahill for being poleaxed. Neither Knight nor Riley reffed us again after Allardyce made a fuss, Coyle should do the same on that shitarse.

Agree 100%

You don't get anywhere being nice. Coyle should be making a formal complaint about today, and Jenas should be getting a ban in retrospect.

The one thing in life that is certain is that if you don't make a fuss, nothing gets done.

Being nice will only get Owen so far, he *has* to start to put pressure on people.

The bottom line though, is that Clattenburg simply is not good enough at his job to ref at this level. There's few worse things in the game than being called a "cheat", and that is exactly what Clattenburg did to Gary Cahill today. If I were Coyle and Cahill I'd be demanding not only that the yellow is taken off his record, but that he gets a formal written apology for accusing him of cheating.

The amount of c*nts that dive all over the field these days, Cahill ain't one of them. Disgusting personal bias against the club imho.

Not sure if this is correct. At least for Knight, he refereed us against Norwich. I'm sure Riley returned to the Reebok after the Leicester game too.

Er, after the Leicester game Riley presided over the League Cup Final in 2004. And cheated us then. As his punishment, he got the gig at Euro 2004. Then he reffed us at Blackburn. And sent Nakata off for two tackles that weren't even fouls, never mind bookable offences.

Knight was due to ref us again, but was taken off the match two days before it was due to go ahead. If he actually got to ref us again, I'm not sure.

Depends. Have we all claimed that refs are the only reason why we lost yesterday? Or, for that reason, why we've not got the results recently? If not, then I doubt it.

no - not all - but some have come very close!

fact is - if we were spurs fans - especially had spurs not got the winner - we might very well have claimed the ref was kind to bolton... it might not be true - but, they witnessed a disallowed penalty (for summat that you could argue happens quite routinely) and a disallowed goal - (quite rightly - but remember - you're imagining you are a spurs fan!) - and a penalty actually given and then rescinded...

you (as a spurs fan) might acknowledge the cahill penalty and say that was unjust - but I doubt it would outweigh the rest in your view of the game.

i don't believe clattenberg is biased against us - he is crap, true enough, but the flavour of anti-bolton conspiracy that wafts from this thread is - you have to say - ever so slightly Wengeresque...

Agree with this, perhaps surprisingly. We shouldn't want to be seen as pathetic victims of a conspiracy.

We need to win games by scoring more goals than the opposition, or making less mistakes. Both the Spurs penalty decisions were valid if you go strictly by the rules for KDs hand/arm/bodyball. Ricketts made an error in the wrong place. Both defensive errors.

Most refs appear to be biased from the losers viewpoint, although I would agree that Styles, Riley and Knight (when they were active) do fit the bill as outstanding w*nkers. Clattenburg falls into the incompetence category perhaps blended with a bit of blindness. I would have thought that the linesman would have been waving his flag like crazy at the Cahill penalty call but blindness may be contagious.

Bloody hell, how did I forget that?!

Knight definitely refereed the Norwich game I was referring to. I went and remember it well. I've never heard so many boos and abuse towards one individual.

So, if we had to be a Spurs fan, we'd be claiming that we should have been given a goal because other refs don't enforce a breaking of rules ( rightly done by Clattenburg), a disallowed goal that was disallowed (by the lino) correctly, a penalty that was given and then correctly not given (by the lino), and then say that we were unfairly treated?

The difference between these complaints that we do have, and the stuff Wenger complains about, is that the things we've complained about aren't open to interpretation - they happened, and the evidence is there for all to see. Wenger's are so open to interpretation that we might as well be discussing the existence of God at the same time.

But that is what makes it so bad.

It wasn't just us, he was just appalling at his PAID job.

Who here can be so utterly appalling at their job and get not reprimand from it?

I think it's telling that most of the entries into the Clattenberg 'Hall of Shame' weren't decisions made by Clattenberg.

A bit of a posing nice person, no doubt, but he's no biased.

Refs may not be biased against a particular team. Certain refs are biased towards the bigger club, esp when the bigger club is at home. It's not limited to Bolton is true for a lot of the smaller clubs.

I say to people who are Man U fans that most the time they are the better team whoever they play, they don't need the help of the ref. If they get some favourable decisions it just makes it less of a contest, and hardly worth showing up for.

If this makes me sound like a tw*t it wouldn't make much of a change :)

The fact of the matter is he made mistakes, bad ones and as such should be repimanded for it. He should not be allowed to ref the top flight for the next month as some sort of punishment.
