Think this is really positive. The reserves have lacked a bit of strength in depth

*Owen Coyle probably didn't say this.

this may be a controversial opinion - but JLS has acquired a now unshakeable reputation for being utterly and completely, monumentally crap.

actually he isn't.

On this, if nothing else.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I suspect the opinion has developed, from the fact that most blind people think Robbo's good, and then we spent £2.2m on a new left back. I suppose people assumed he was now at least number three in the pecking order...which means you're crap.

May I single myself out for praise then?

More than most.

If he comes back and is shit, I will however say so. Because it won't be a personal vendetta against him (or Sammy Lee for that matter) it'll be simply how does he play for the team.

As incredibly simple as that is.

JLS emboddies everything that is wrong with modern football.

An athlete who can just about kick straight is given far too much money and in turn doesn't really care very much about his own personal or his team performances.

Fact is he probably has more ability than Robinson but that is negated by his complete lack of drive, desire and all the characteristics someone with limited ability needs to make it properly at the top level.

Ultimately I put JLS into the complete waste of space bracket.

He is twice the player Robinson is, but will never displace him now - he had his chance and blew it.

It's a shame though because he'd offer much, much more to the side than the present left-back, but just can't be arsed to do so!

He'd offer the ability to wander aimlessly up the pitch and get caught completely out of position!

But yes generally I agree.

Fact is application is crucial and because JLS doesn't have any Robbo is the better player. It really is that simple.

Utter nonsense.

Particularly given the "but just can't be arsed to do so" bit.

He is faster, taller and more technically able - all things that Robinson isn't
