well, that was a bag of wank, wasn't it? It all started out so well - 2-0 up after 14 minutes, that Sturridge really is the saviour! Drums - songs - smiles on faces... but, then - it wasn't as if we didn't all KNOW, was it? Saha (remember - the one who was supposed to be injured?) with a huge deflection off the ref's arse - 2-1, T Cahill dives over Knight's leg and wins a penalty - 2-2, and in the 2nd minute of injury time Fellatio heads on off the post after a goalmouth scramble - T Cahill having stamped on Jussi's face... 2-3. arse!

I reckon we can scrape a win out of this game. Let's just hope C.Y. Lee isn't on the pitch come the 92nd minute! I'm going to be optimistic and go for a 2-1 win, with Sturridge and Holden getting the goals. However I will be retracting my optimism if Elmander starts on the right wing again. He simply is not up to it out there on the right, although he does do a better job than Petrov on the wing.

MATCH PREVIEW

Owen Coyle said last year that David Moyes' tenure as Everton manager is the "blueprint" for what he wants to achieve at the Reebok. If the Toffees represent the benchmark for Bolton, then Coyle must be pretty satisfied - Wanderers begin the weekend five places and three points above Moyes' men.

However, Coyle's side have lost ground of late, losing five of their last seven league games, and an Everton win on Sunday would mean the Merseysiders leapfrog them in the table.

Bolton came away empty handed from last week's trip to Tottenham but could easily have claimed all three points had Mark Clattenburg awarded a penalty for Benoit Assou-Ekotto's trip on Gary Cahill. Coyle is likely to get a sympathetic ear from Moyes; Everton are the only Premier League side yet to win a penalty, despite being the top flight's most-fouled side.

Like Coyle, Moyes has to work with a limited budget at Goodison. Everton this week revealed their latest accounting figures, which show club debt has risen £7m to £44.9m. Chief executive Robert Elstone admits there is little money available for transfers this summer but insists the club do not have to cash in on the likes of Jack Rodwell or Marouane Fellaini.

Everton recorded their third win in 15 top-flight games thanks to Louis Saha's four-goal haul against Blackpool, but the Frenchman will miss Sunday's game through injury. Bolton's leading scorer, Johan Elmander, has netted only once in his last 12 league appearances, but the club remain keen to keep him at the Reebok and will try to re-open contract negotiations in the next few weeks.
