What are you watching tonight?

Saw Never Let Me Go last night. Good but the central idea doesn't stand up and the self-conscious literary acting left me feeling little empathy for the characters.

Thought it was ok 5/10, some of it is boring when he's remembering certain events etc......best part is the end for obvious reasons.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Watched 127 Hours - rubbish

Watched 'The Next Three Days' last night, thought it was decent enough 6.5/10. Russell Crowe is fairly good and the storyline keeps you intersted throughout.

The end just came and went, and didn't seem to be overly gruesome or gory which was a let-down.
Going to watch True Grit tonight, loved 'No Country for Old Men' so am looking forward to this muchly.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
That is a good film, i actually prefered it to the original film because this version is closer to how the book was written. The original film is made from the prespective of John Wayne's character wheras the book and the Coen's brothers version is made from the perspective of the girl. 9/10Lofthouse Lower wrote:The end just came and went, and didn't seem to be overly gruesome or gory which was a let-down.

Right, gonna sign up for that LoveFilm tonight. If anyone has a code thing for a free trial they fancy donating (I assume in return for this 'recommendation code' they get some sort of reward from lovefilm?) that would be very lovely, and if they could send me a PM they would become my hero (or heroine). Otherwise I'll have to make do with the 14 days one. But I've decided I want films! How long after signing up does t'first one normally come?

If you look on the website then there's a month trial bit there - I had a code for it but can't find it : (
Re: What are you watching tonight?
I can only find a 14 day one. It's not a big deal, if no-one has one I'm sure I'll cope. Gonna do it after tea and that. How long did the first one take after you'd signed up?

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Have to agree. Thought the books were a once-in-a-decade experience but the films a let down by comparison (aren't they always?) Enjoyed the first one, second not quite up there and haven't bothered with the third - yet.thebish wrote:watched the Girl with the Dragon tattoo tonight..
