Mark Davies signs new deal til 2015
Good news this - seems like Mr Suntan is high up in Coyle's estimations - let's hope he can continue to develop and improve on his recent performances, then there's no reason why he can't play for England (other than the fact he plays for us, of course).

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Mark Davies has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Reebok Stadium until the summer of 2015.
The 22-year-old, who moved from Wolves to Bolton in January 2009, has made 25 appearances this season, scoring once.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle told the club website: "This shows we are trying to build a club for years to come.
"The nucleus is centred around young, exciting players and Mark certainly comes into that category."
Davies, who was on loan at Leicester City before moving to Bolton, added: "I'm pleased to have signed the new contract. The club has been good to me in the last two years and I feel settled in the area.
"The manager believes in me and I feel like I'm part of his plans."

He was great against Everton. Pleased he's signed a new deal.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Good news this - seems like Mr Suntan is high up in Coyle's estimations - let's hope he can continue to develop and improve on his recent performances, then there's no reason why he can't play for England (other than the fact he plays for us, of course).

Long long way to go for me before we start talking about being a definite regular for us, let alone England.
For me he can improve his end product, final pass/shot is sometimes not great and also he can obviously still improve his game off the ball.
Has the potential though to be a very exciting player indeed. At his best there is a touch of Gascoigne about him.

Funny you should say that, I was playing Football Manager last night and gave him a new contract, and the resulting news piece said 'Davies, who has been labelled as the next Paul Gascoigne'.......I just assumed they were referring to his capacity for ale.

He's come on loads. I think his ability to run with the ball has been most surprising, he's got a really good centre of gravity (ie, she's a short-arse) and he shifts through the midfield Wilshere-esque at times.
Hopefully the new contract will see his confidence improve and not go into his shell. There's still competition for his place from Moo but I think he will be there or thereabouts in the first team for some time to come.

Imagine the meeja w*nkfest if he was at West Ham, Samuel would have run about 3 articles already about how Fabio is a fool for not playing him.
Cracking player, no wonder Wolves were so miffed we stole him for a mere £1m

It's quite a big statement .... not sure it's right, but still a big statement.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Great. Now how long has Stuart Holden got to run on his current deal?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

A million I believe.
Happy we've signed him up, but was a bit concerned with him in that AM role. I think against Everton, he played much deeper and only really started darting forwards later in the game. Thought this worked much better than when he's out and out attacking, which I think leaves us short defensively.
