Knight out until April
Not the end of the world. Been on pretty poor form of late. Time for Mr Handsome to make his mark.

Bolton defender Zat Knight has been ruled out for between four to six weeks with a knee injury.
The 30-year-old English centre-back strained medial ligaments in his side's 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday, but does not require surgery.
"It's not as severe as we first thought, but certainly bad enough to keep him out for a period of time," said manager Owen Coyle on Tuesday.
"It's fair to say he'll be four to six weeks, which is a terrible loss."

Thats a whole lot better than I feared. Didn't think we'd see him again until into next season.

Same here when I saw it, though it was talked down initially.clapton is god wrote:Thats a whole lot better than I feared. Didn't think we'd see him again until into next season.
Have to be pleased we got Wheater then.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Who I thought didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon.....Anichebe had been giving Knight the runaround all first half, but when the new lad came on he stifled him as a threat. Impressed.
Re: Knight out until April
At the time he said it, Davies had was still very much on fringes and he was mostly talking about training.
I can absolutely believe that in the low intensity environment of the training ground Davies is running rings around them all on a daily basis.

Re: Knight out until April
He'll only miss 4 games (or a maximum of 6 if we get past Wigan and Fulham). Not the end of the world to be honest - Cahill and Wheater looked, dare I say it, a good partnership on Sunday.

Pretty poor form?Lofthouse Lower wrote:Not the end of the world. Been on pretty poor form of late. Time for Mr Handsome to make his mark.
I think he's been one of our better defenders this season. I think its a shame we've lost him to injury. Especially considering three out of the last four games we've had clean sheets.

Mar correct ^^
I don't think 4 weeks - or even six - is likely... Hope I'm wrong...
but as grateful as everyone else we have wheater...

Knight is an odd one
Not as good in the air as he should be and awful with the ball
He got injured cos he's not very good...shouldn't have needed to make the excellent tackle that led to his injury...the same tackle he had to make at Stoke and didn't

Re: Knight out until April
Are you saying he's another one of Megson's shit waste of money signings then?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

A waste of money?
Seeing as he was part of a team that's kept us up 2 or 3 years, no
Do I think he's much good, no

Re: Knight out until April
Where does 'much good' start for you? Asking not polemically here... I think he's the kind of defender that does a solid job (and occasional madness) that I expect at our club... And in those terms has not had a bad season... Who should we have, as Bolton Wanderers, that is 'much good', who have we missed out on? Considering there aren't many Gudnis for peanuts about?CAPSLOCK wrote:A waste of money?

Hope he recovers quickly and glad the injury is not as bad as initially thought.
Wheater now has his shot. Let's hope he shines.
