FACup Quarter Final

Re: FACup Quarter Final
im pretty sure we ll be given the whole of the large lower tier of the away end at st andrews, which holds around 5,000. Would be great to fill it and cheer the lads onto wembley.
Theres a real feel good factor around the club at the moment which you need to have a good cup run & we all know how much coyle loves the cup competitions. This is a great chance to go all the way & with us being relatively comfortable in the league i say lets go for it!

Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,
Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Ain't been to the new wembley nice day out in May
Re: FACup Quarter Final
Trying not to get excited about this, but
Birmingham are crap and minds probably elsewhere, could get Stoke in the semis at Wembley where the pitch is not narrower than 20 yards and we're almost in the final (and Europe) vs a Manchester club...
But yeah not excited at all...

Are you referring to the traditional hospitality offered in Balsall Heath to supporters of visiting clubs?CAPSLOCK wrote:It will be tin hats at St Andrews

A quick hop over to Joy and Sorrow, a Brummie fan forum, reveals that they're seeing this fixture as an "already won, let's get our tickets for Wembley" tie.

Ah well, Fulham bombed Spurs and we beat Fulham so it just shows chicken counting doesn't always work. Let em keep thinking that; all the more bitter the pill. :twistedtruewhite15 wrote:A quick hop over to Joy and Sorrow, a Brummie fan forum, reveals that they're seeing this fixture as an "already won, let's get our tickets for Wembley" tie.

Pity that won't affect the team...truewhite15 wrote:A quick hop over to Joy and Sorrow, a Brummie fan forum, reveals that they're seeing this fixture as an "already won, let's get our tickets for Wembley" tie.

Don't underestimate the task here. We've had some good wins over the years at St Andrews - but also some pretty shit losses. The game there when Sammy Lee was in charge was a huge low point.
I'd be happy with a draw and replay.

Daring to dream but everytime I close my eyes I see Mark Patterson.....
May be Brums over confidence will hit them like ours did that year..
We watched the mighty fall all over and then got blindsided by feckin Oldham ..

Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham

I'm getting that giddy feeling that this actually, maybe, could finally be our year.
And then I get flashbacks of Dean Holdsworth.

Same except I get flashbacks of a smug Riley and a grinning Emerson Thome!Verbal wrote:I'm getting that giddy feeling that this actually, maybe, could finally be our year.

Re: FACup Quarter Final

But given a weeks rest after Newcastle game, will OC start with Elmo and SKD, or leave Klasnic, 'the cup machine' up front to start?

In between Newcastle and Brum is the small matter of Villa at home!Il Pirate wrote:Would absoloutly love to be there; sister in law lives about 15 mins drive from Brum ground, so could travel and stay over, but my eldest lad is coming home from Canada on the 12th and 13th is his 25th B/day. Re: FACup Quarter Final
I'd love us to take a big-turnout for this, but I fear our fans won't turn up unless we end up in the final.. In which case, loads of fans who haven't seen us kick a ball in the cup, will somehow still manage to get tickets..
Let's all make the extra effort to get down to Brum and cheer on our lads. This is a MASSIVE game for the club.

Perhaps I'm being optimistic but I'd be stunned if we don't sell our entire allocation at Brum.boltonboris wrote:I'd love us to take a big-turnout for this, but I fear our fans won't turn up unless we end up in the final.. I agree with you to a point Boris, but not all the way.
If we get a 30,000 allocation for any potential final then I'd much rather see it filled with those who fancy a day out than say 13,000 season ticket holding devotees - it's an occasion for the town as well as the club.

Well the club should put cup ticket users before anybody else.Lofthouse Lower wrote:I agree with you to a point Boris, but not all the way.
