Rovers chairman John Williams has just resigned. He was a class act. Stormy weather ahead for the banjo strummers, I suspect.

I'm sure they will find another person who likes to work long hours thus making him extremely well qualified.

A hard act to follow JW...sadly change was inevitable though.

All rivaly aside, he was a proper Chairman & knew his stuff, plus also knew the people of Blackburn.
He'll be missed.
Put it this way, it's good news for us.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

All is not well in Darwen.
Rovers fans screaming for Kean's sacking. Current poll 138 to 14 for his removal.
Rumour is that Venky's will be making another managerial change.
Some are asking for the reinstatement of the Big Fat Saviour.
More ridiculousness on the way methinks.

There's an Ex-Prem manager in one of the lower leagues they could turn to...
People who know football - such as Venkey's - would know this...

Popular thread 193 to 23 now - still nearly 90%.
Why oh Why could Wolves not have beaten Spuds??
That would really have put Venkys in it
What goes around may still come around

They seem to be going on about Venky's having no cash? I thought they were pretty flush. I simply assumed that Venky's didn't like to part with cash. Has something happened of recent.
Re: The Venkys Fried Chicken thread of ridiculouness
Can't see them sacking him so soon, though he does seem out of his depth. Hopefully he's still in charge when we come visiting at the end of April.

Re: The Venkys Fried Chicken thread of ridiculouness
Apparently, Venky's initially promised to run the club with no debt ie by pumping cash in. It is claimed that they have "mortgaged" this year's Sky income and there is confusion as to whether the clubs assets (ground etc.) are being used as security for this and/or other debt. Securitising the Sky income is probably not unusual to manage short term cashflow requirements but nervousness/confusion seems to exist amongst the fans.seanworth wrote:They seem to be going on about Venky's having no cash?
