I think so too, well anything but a Sunday would have done for me but 12:45 will do just fine - did you get the £22 return train tickets? A bargain, even though I had to spend about 25 minutes on the phone trying to make the chap on the other end understand my accentGeneral Mannerheim wrote:yep, just booked trains. best of the bunch for me that KO.P.O.S. wrote:Fixture confirmed as:

They are both held there because they need to pay for Wembley. Plus, if we don't make the final, at least we get to go to Wembley! I'm alright with it.Gary the Enfield wrote:Lofthouse Lower wrote:Both, for the greedy grasping B*stards at the FA

But seeing as its us, I'd be quite glad of a trip to Wembley for a semi final.
And hey even happier if we got back there in the final. Its hardly a chore.

Re: FACup Quarter Final
I'm firmly of the opinion that it should be only finals.
When we were last there, it was because they were shutting the old one down (though I suspect their motives were the same as now). Under exceptional circumstances, I could accept it. But I think there are now plenty of large and suitable grounds throughout the country that can accomodate a semi-final.
Theres a danger of an already diminished cup competition loosing even more of its sparkle. And also a danger that clubs will feel they've reached the zenith of their ambition just by getting to the semi's.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Hmm which is true. But on the other hand seeing as usually its the same top 5 or whatever clubs winning it, having the semi finals at Wembley gives other teams more of a chance to get there.Lord Kangana wrote:I'm firmly of the opinion that it should be only finals.

I sort of agree that Wembley would be best held back for the final.
But can't help thinking that IF we beat Birmingham and get drawn against Man Utd or Arsenal in a game we'd probably lose at least we'd have had a day out at Wembley as opposed to sitting in Villa Park or Old Trafford or any other ground we've all been to countless times!

Free coach travel apparently!
That'll do nicely! Should be a hefty turnout for this one!

Will be the first time ive bought tickets for a while, kindda got used to just turning up and paying on the turnstyles! imagine there will be a mad scramble at first but will die down with plenty still available.
free travel is a nice gesture, but id have thought it is the least required for this match!? id rather they did it for Fulham int league instead but hey ho.

Nope - this is a big game, this is a great gesture from the club... Though doubt I'll do it... we'll still struggle to sell 6000 anyway... but maybe, just maybe...General Mannerheim wrote:nowt on the website yet, although it is on the Brum site.Bruce Rioja wrote:When are the tickets on sale?
