Sturridge going back to Chelsea
at the end of the season

CARLO Ancelotti has told Wanderers to forget about signing Daniel Sturridge for good in the summer.
The England Under-21 star has scored three times in his first three appearances for the club since arriving from Stamford Bridge on loan in the January transfer window.
His instant impact triggered rumours that Owen Coyle would try and secure his signature again next season, but speaking before Chelsea’s midweek Champions League victory in Copenhagen, Ancelotti has ruled out such a move. “I’m happy because he’s our player and is doing well at Bolton,” he said of the 21-year-old striker.
“I hope he can score again because in the summer he will come back and rejoin us. That is certain.”
Sturridge has already expressed his desire to use his added first team exposure at the Reebok to his advantage and return to Stamford Bridge a better player.
“It’s going to be difficult to go back to Chelsea with Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and now Fernando Torres there,” he said shortly after arriving at the club. “But I believe in myself and I believe in my ability.
“I’m not worried about Torres coming. I think it’s great that there is healthy competition.”

No surprise there, not unless they decide to make another big summer signing.

Drogab and Anelka to leave in the summer anyway?

I'd be more interested in getting him on another loan than a permanent deal. Chances are if we wanted to buy him we'd have to break our transfer record anyway

give them £11 mill for him

A few weeks in, if he's not getting a kick, then I'm sure we'd be able to get another 6 month loanLofthouse Lower wrote:I'd be more interested in getting him on another loan than a permanent deal. Chances are if we wanted to buy him we'd have to break our transfer record anyway

There's some rumours going about that there's a £10 Million clause in his contract, should we wish to buy him outright. Obviously put in there, in the knowledge we don't have it!

Did people really think we were going to keep him?
Did those same people think Wilshere was gonna stay too?

Re: Sturridge going back to Chelsea
I'd be happy just to get him on loan for another season, alternatively it shows other managers just whst OC can get out of 'his' players. I'm well chuffed
Pfffft.
