I love an underdog win. Bit jealous of the Birmingham fans. I want a day like that
Re: Carling Cup Final
I'd like to think those Arsenal fans in bits were the same ones jeering Mark Davies off.

Cleverly avoided a conflict of interests today by being shit.Lord Kangana wrote:Cool, then when Arsenal win it, they still won't have won a trophy for ever. Works for everyone.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

What a cock up. Congrats to Birmingham. Now boy don't listen to your manager, enjoy this victory, cherish it and go and and party for a couple weeks or so.

We shall see. Monumental defensive cock-up from Arsenal, which is what you come to expect. My God, do they need a decent keeper. And a decent CB. No, they can't have Cahill.

Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,
Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Re: Carling Cup Final
The downside of Brum winning is if as Opta stats suggest the winning team gets a boost in form, they could win a couple of games in the league before the cup game with us and be on 36 points (home to West Brom away to Everton). Even with 4 from those 2 McLeish might decide they're going to be safe given the boost of a cup win and go for it in the quarter final. Either way I don't think its done our chances any good.

Re: Carling Cup Final
I haven't seen any quotes from Mr Graceless yet.
Re: Carling Cup Final
apparently it's down to fixture overload and injuries - and those cheating brummyites resting players in the FA Cup last weekend - how very dare they, Arsenal would NEVER rest key players in a cup game - surely??!!!Gary the Enfield wrote:I haven't seen any quotes from Mr Graceless yet.
Wenger said: “I’m bitterly disappointed like the whole team. We had some problems when we started the game because of the number of games we’ve played caught up on us a bit.
“In the last 18 games, we lost one game at Ipswich in the Carling Cup and then we lost today in the last minute.
“The attitude of the team is absolutely tremendous and that’s why we go to win in every single game. That’s why we’ve been on such a long run.
“But what’s difficult to take is that we’ve lost so many players. Physically we had a disadvantage from the number of the games we’ve played.
“We lost Fabregas last week and in the first half you could see that Birmingham cancelled their game, they played their reserves against Sheffield Wednesday [in the FA Cup last weekend] and they started stronger than us until we got into the pace of the game.”

Cheers Bish. So coming from a position of saying they could win all four competitions to saying they can't compete because of all the competitions they're in? Graceless get.
Arsenal's belief that all they had to do to win was to turn up yesterday was their undoing. That, and a monumental cock up for the winning goal.
I hope we get Arsenal in the semi's or the final.

Re: Carling Cup Final
That'd be the same Birmingham reserve team that also won its game, or a different one?
