Re: FACup Quarter Final
The club has to commit to as many as it asks for, so given the usual piss-poor turnout by our lot at St Andrews one can easily understand the reticence when it comes to asking for loads of tickets without first testing the water.
May the bridges I burn light your way

we got 3 with only 2 ST's. they told us our allocation was 3500, and they had sold over 1000 at the time of asking (lunch time today)
Re: FACup Quarter Final
Impressive. Hope there's enough when I order on the 3rd.

Got our four... Hope there's no last min emergencies this time after missing Fulham game... another bogey team hit the dust... Birmingham have secured their European place... they need to secure Prem football as their priority...
Owen wants to win a cup...

See I think that now McLeish is up for the double he really is going to go for it. Maybe not all the way to the final but beat us and he's at Wembley again. They'll be well up for it.William the White wrote:Birmingham have secured their European place... they need to secure Prem football as their priority...

Their team may be - but it will be a weakened side... he doesn't need another cup game...CrazyHorse wrote:See I think that now McLeish is up for the double he really is going to go for it. My bet is it won't. The fans will be full of it right now and keen for more. Doubt if they'll risk a McMegson.William the White wrote: [Their team may be - but it will be a weakened side... he doesn't need another cup game...

Re: FACup Quarter Final
No. The fans will be anxious to secure the Prem. Just as we would if we'd won the LC. If we had won the league cup, secured europe and faced a relegation fight I know what my priority would be... wouldn't give a feck about an FA Cup quarter final... And I'm a serious fan of the competition!TANGODANCER wrote:My bet is it won't. The fans will be full of it right now and keen for more. Re: FACup Quarter Final
I would bet that they won't see them as mutually exclusive.
Either way, second guessing their mentality and hoping for them to play a reserve side does our lot a disservice. Our team are fully capable of beating (or drawing with) Birmingham City, full strength and fully focussed. Let them bring their best.

Re: FACup Quarter Final
I'm in
Tough game, question is whether Coyle will persist with a "cup" line up and continue to give Klasnic the opportunity to play or whether a more tried and trusted XI will go out there.
With it being Fab's old team it would be a good chance for him to make a mark. I think remembering the cynical and physical nature of Birmingham at the Reebok it's more a Fab & Holden type game with Taylor on the left and Lee on the right.

I would say that after reaching the quarter finals, our FA cup sode could be considered tried and trusted.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Taylor? No chance. Against old man Carr the only option is Petrov. We tried Taylor against old man Salgado last season and he ran our boy ragged. Pace against the granddad.
Only option.
Only option.
Re: FACup Quarter Final
I think Birmingham's side will be picked based upon how they do over the next week. If they can win a game next week (west brom or Everton) they have a tiny bit of breathing space. If they lose they must then focus on the league.

If Jussi plays in the next two games he'll have clocked up 500 appearances for us

Really? According to Urban Dictionary, a sode is a 'long skinny penis'

Tickets purchased! About a 10 minute queue on the phone when I called, relatively promising!
