Good read sir!

For me though a fixture with Villa still rouses some excitement, granted it's not quite the same as it was after a decade of league games against them and Hitzlesperger winners but there's still something there.

I think it must be a throwback to the time we drew them in the Cup in the 90's; I don't know what it was, their grand name or their unusual kit or what, but I remember being quite fearful of them back then (I was only young, Id barely even heard of "Aston Villa" till that time!). Less fear now, but there's still something of an edge.

I bet TW Spy would have some rich pickings from their forums in the lead up to this game after their performance and team selection against City ;)

Dam. That's their own goal cancelled then. Now we'll have to score another.

Ireland doesn't do himself a any favours does he -slags off Birmingham and his home country. God knows what he would have said had he moved to Bolton. He's gone from player of the year 2 years ago at the Massives to reserve squad. He has talent but you have to question his mental state.
It was my team that won in every session (in training)
Is he seven?

I doubt if County Cork in particular, or Ireland in general, lost much sleep over Stephen Alien's remarks. He's no longer Villa, so no concern at all.

Bish's preview caused a bit of stir over on the Villa forum.
When ManUre fans describe the Villa as "an album filler" its bad enough but FFS coming from them tramps from Bolton !
Hoboh will love it.

This one will come down to which defence is up for it the most, Our attack vs their attack, as both defences aren't at their strongest, our's is the better of the two atm, I do back Strurridge beat Collins & Clark 100% of the time, and Davies to win 90% of the headers against Collins, Elmo/Lee and Petrov/Taylor should do rings around the young full backs, its just in attack Villa are pretty strong... Downing, Young, Bent and Gabby 4 pacer players who on their day will tear teams apart and then young Albrighton who is a quality player and is someone we should put a cheeky bid in for in the summer, can play left or right and is one of the players to look for in the future!

Very impressed with this lad from what I've seen. He needs tight shackling for sure because he's tricky, has pace and can put a decent ball across. It's looking like it might be Steinsson and Robbo in the full-back slots, at least to start with. I think they'll rely on width and pace rather than a purely midfield approach and be a bit defenive minded in that area. Two early goals for us would be very nice.

This will probably fall on deaf ears, as I ask it all the time, but if you're going to refer to a fellow football forum getting pissed off with us please will you put a f*cking link.
