Owen, we need to talk.

I know you're reluctant to drop St. Kevin, Elmo or Wonderkid. They're all good strikers, each one brings something different, I get it. It's still moronic. You're not going to branch out into a 433, fine. But fer feck* sake don't play a striker at right midfield in a 442. It just doesn't work. You lose all the things Elmo brings as a hardworking CF, you inhibit Steinsson's overlapping game and open up space on the opposition left flank and above all, it deprives the team of CYL's ingenuity and creative flair - stuff Elmo just isn't going to bring.

It's a hard task getting it right but this is not the solution.

Not read the entire thread, but I just wanna say it's good to see Steinsson back.

Also, I'm concerned at a striker on the wing in this match more than ever, Villa are seriously fast down the wings, both full back and winger need to be able to defend when required.

I really hope this is more than just a case of Owen trying to convince Elmo to stay. I want to see Lee playing, he's our best winger and should be playing! :(

Villa's backline is really inexperienced, would have thought an out-and-out winger would be better than a striker playing right midfield.

Elmander on the right again?
I'm hoping to see an appearance from Klasnic today, hopefully getting a goal too!

Shock Horror, Bent scores against Bolton.

I may be forgetting one, but when did we last beat Villa?

what is it about Cahill in this fixture? It's like he's trying too hard to prove they were wrong to sell him

They've got two pacey players running at Robinson, with Petrov "helping" him out?

Doesn't take a genius to work out the problem there.
