"Well, it's obviously a poor performance. I thought it was worse in the first half then it was in the second.
"Somebody just asked me what positives can you take from that and there aren't any when you lose 4-2 at home. It's not acceptable.
"We spoke about, before the game started, in terms of getting a good start, playing at a high tempo, plying with high intensity, get the crowd into the game and we did totally the opposite. It was like watching paint dry."
You've got previous for that Meggo. You tosser.

The trouble is, Mr Megson, that it won't have been "like watching paint dry". A 2-4 game is going to have points of interest ... 6 of them at least.Zulus Thousand of em wrote:"Well, it's obviously a poor performance. I thought it was worse in the first half then it was in the second.

Now, if you were to run over the DVD's of a few of your matches while in charge here, you may THEN know what that was like. Perhaps you were too close to it at the time .... but setting out to defend a 0-0 from the kick off, selecting 27 full backs, having no attacking tactic whatesever .... whilst having a record of almost no clean sheets ... THEN you'd know what that was like.
Sitting in the crowd watching that shite, knowing that the man in charge (you, in case you forgot) showed no respect whatsoever to the fans ... THAT was 'like watching paint dry'.
As you were.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Re: Megson Watch
After virtually every single game at Wednesday he has slagged off his own players. He has absolutely no man-management skills whatsoever. The players have no confidence as it is and then they listen to that tosser calling them for being rubbish and blaming them for the loss. What about taking some responsibility yourself instead of blaming everyone but you.bobo the clown wrote:The trouble is, Mr Megson, that it won't have been "like watching paint dry". Get used to it lads. Gavin McCann may yet be coming out of retirement!
(As an aside, Megson is a clever bastard, because he's played a full deck of "I'm a Wednesday fan, me" cards and its bought him time.)
