Music after Goals

Post by BWFC_Insane » Tue Mar 08, 2011 11:39 am

Ok bit of debate about this already.

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... s_on_song/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Coyle's explanation.

EDIT: I think they've missed a line out somewhere from here because I see no mention of the "Barclays Premier League" in that interview. :wink:

Really, though, whats all the fuss? I'm not really arsed either way. I don't think the music has any bearing on the success of the team.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

No problem with his logic, but I just don't agree. It cheapens the experience. It's fine for 20:20 or NFL, just not football.

Oh and by

Is that what they call an "IT job" nowadays, spending your time pissing around downloading mp3's all day?

Nice job if you can get it!

I'm right down the middle on this one, I'm not too fussed either way.

I do prefer it to the other songs we've had though, although Amarillo was perfect for Diouf!

If they INSIST on having a 'song' could they pick something that isn't shite? Balls to the IT lot, Coyley obvs nicked it after watching Celtic.

I'll say it again, one of my favourite songs but they should play The Clash 'White Riot' after our goals.
Pfffft.

Thank God I'm not the only one who noticed his over use of the Barclays Premier League. Does he expect a cheque from them through the post or something?! My viewing of his interviews have been reduced to waiting for the moment he says it, and I still laugh when he does.

It's what the managers have to do nowadays. They were told off for shortening it to "Premiership" or not including the name of the sponsors.

Very true, though it's probably more like he'd get fined if he didn't say the Barclays part.

Heard ont radio last night that Man Utd get fined for putting Phelan out to do the BBC interviews. It shows that even if they don't care about refereeing consistancy, respect or diving they care about their sponsors and radio partners.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

So maybe our Owen is ripping the piss out of a stupid rule then?

Think I've moaned enough on the match thread!

Anyway I found the article written by yours truly when we still had 'I Feel Good'

http://www.the-wanderer.co.uk/bolton/th ... -not-music" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Bit militant at the end there wasn't I, but at least the Easy chant has mostly gone!

I'm not arsed really. One thing I would say is that when you hear James Brown "I feel good now", what does it make you think of?

For me its - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA5h7uLMsRE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So maybe I'll get a thing for Depeche Mode.....interesting its what they had at Burnley, is Owen trying to tell us something?
