Megson Watch

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

The honeymoon will be over very shortly if there are any more performances like this week.

Love the quote "He was playing for a point, we shouldn't be playing for a point at home, should we?"

Oldham 2-3 Sheffield Wednesday

I suppose I had better man up when he wins the odd game.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"Overall it's always a good performance when you get a win but I thought it could have been more emphatic. We've taken a two-goal lead and they were nowhere near us and we conceded a silly foul which gave them the momentum. At half time I said to them we've won it once now go and win it again. They had that momentum, we lost it but delighted with the way we went about our work."

He's still a tosser though, mind.

Wasn't that Alf Ramsey's line?

Still, he probably thinks he's that good.

Wednesday 0-1 Notts County

Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"We changed the formation , we put two up front which people have been advising me to do and that's the way forward. Consequently we didn't work their goalkeeper enough.
"The game looked a little stale in the middle of the park.
"They didn't create anything themselves but the first chance they get, our defending was remarkable poor."

Maybe the Club should send him a complimentary ticket to the FA Cup semi.

He'd be able to give our little Club and our young(ish) manager the benefit of his advice on how to handle such occasions.

Actually, sack that idea, I think he's only ever seen Wembley on the telly.

Although not yet the consensus opinion I confess to a little titter when I read this:
if that clown megson is allowed to stay in charge over the summer we will go down next year.

.................Megson HAS TO GO..............NOW !!!
