Music after Goals

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

A Howl Griffin original song for Wanderers to come out to could be just the ticket?
Pfffft.

We could trial a bit of a Status Quo motif at the West Ham game, kicking off with "Down Down, Deeper and Down"

I like that Gartside asked that bloke from McFly to write a song that'd "get the fans singing".

I wonder if Garty had been on the ale.

But no matter if that is a real objective I have a suggestion, nay two in fact.

1) A song with one word, namely Wanderers, something like this...

"Wandurrrrurrrrs, Wandurrrurrs, Wandurrrrurrrs, Wandurrrrurrrrs", repeat ad nauseum.

2) A song along the lines of

"We're the one and only Wanderers, clap clap clap, We're the one and only Wanderers clap clap clap", repeat ad nauseum.

Either of them ones are likely to catch on.

Some give that Marty McFly bloke a ring then!

Some fans of a certain South Wales team are pressing for (next single) Bluebirds to be played at their stadium. We're keeping quiet that it's actually about a prisoner plotting terrible revenge

Quite difficult to write a song about Trotters without it sounding weird or Whites without it sounding a bit, y'know, Jim Davidson

I'll bear it in mind though – could write some new lyrics for one of the songs we've got, wouldn't take long to re-record 'cos we've got the masters

what about Howl Griff doing a Paul And The Bolton Sound cover?

It'd be great. Release it as a single. You could do a cover of the Houghton Weavers classic Lion of Vienna on the B-Side.

I look forward to seeing them played at the next Howl Griff gig I get to.

The Wanderer would be a funny sing-a-long. Not sure though. Got sick of hearing it when on hold on phone for ticket office.

Or White Cliffs of Dover for a European Tour.

In fact, maybe DSB could do something like... (The Only) White Men in Horwich Palais.

Or something.

We're on a roll now.

We should run out to this when Utd come to town:

Staying on the theme.

For West Ham, the Bobby Moore special:
