A draw would be a good result for us.

Brum still in it, and Everton still 3 rather than 1 point behind us.

Hard-fought 1-1 draw. Hope they're exhausted.

lol true, they should be careful, it's the business end of the season, they wouldn't want to get relegated if it means only going further in a cup competition.

Hello, Trotters, I hope you don't mind me dropping in on your site to have a look how you were thinking about this weekend's match.

I see there is a fair bit of Wembley Fever - quite right too, with only ninety minutes separating one of us (no replay, pleeeease) from a semi-final at the National Stadium.

Earlier in this thread I noticed one of you willingly offering the three points to us in the league game coming up soon in exchange for letting BWFC get through the QF. OK - it's a deal. And I reckon Alex McLeish would bite your hands off, too.

Truth is, Premier League status is too precious to give it up without a fight, and we are suffering a desperate injury problem (crisis is too strong a word) right now. So, although we would love to repeat our Carling Cup exploits in the FA Cup, the fact is that through necessity rather than choice, the Birmingham team is going to be weakened. That's not to suggest that we will just lie down and have our belly tickled. But some key areas will be filled with players who wouldn't normally be in the 18-man squad, let alone the starting eleven.

I'd like McLeish to play a couple of youngsters - perhaps a teenager who can burst on to the scene with a four-goal salvo. Or perhaps not.

Whatever happens, I wish you a safe journey, a warm welcome and a feast of football, although you'll be lucky to get two out of three!

Thanks mate, glad to hear what's going on in the Birmingham camp.

Congrats on the Cup win, by the way...

But if you're serious about possibly putting out a weakened squad this weekend, then so much the better for us. We have no league concerns, so expect to see more or less our first choice 11 - it'll still be tough, but hopefully we'll nick it

Won't wish you best of luck this weekend, but do wish you luck in your relegation fight. Oh and congrats on beating Arsenal the other week. It was well received on this board.

Asked not to be near you.

I don't feel good about that. Really, I don't. But it was too inviting.
