Knight or Wheater - the poll
There appears to be some debate over who is the best out of these two, and with Knight close to returning who should start? This is a big decision for Coyle with some huge games coming up, and personally I can't choose between the two. Knight always falls over himself and constantly worries me, while Wheater is slow and somewhat clumsy. Cahill is playing well and discovered some decent form aswell as baggin' as few goals lately, so obviously his inclusion is a no-brainer.
Re: Knight or Wheater - the poll
Firstly, 'Knight or Dave' would've been a preferable thread title purely because I love a cheap, awful pun.
I'll go with Wheater for reasons stated elsewhere.

No brainer for me. Yes Wheats has had a dodgy game or two, but he's far more composed than Knight and doesn't just lump the ball up field at every single opportunity

I voted Wheater. He sseems like he could be solid but is mistake prone, however Knight is much worse in the mistakes department.

Its Wheaters to lose at the moment.
Re: Knight or Wheater - the poll
I've gone with Wheater. As said above they're both accident prone but Wheater does seem a lot more solid and less likely to forget he's playing.
Just so long as they never, ever, play together.

Re: Knight or Wheater - the poll
Wheater has gone almost 6 games now with Cahill allowing 5 goals, so they seem to have formed a pretty good tandem. I would stick with Wheater, as he is younger and has more growth potential in the run in.

Re: Knight or Wheater - the poll
It's up to Knight to win his place back. Wheater hasn't done a bad job overall for me and I'd keep him in for that reason alone. Nine games from season end isn't really a time to worry about growth potential and younger is sometimes less preferable than old experienced heads on a central defender. My concern is if we lose Cahill in the summer, then I would like to see Wheater get as many games as possible under his belt before next season.TANGODANCER wrote:It's up to Knight to win his place back. Wheater - don't see Coyle changing anything at the back for now.

Wheater for me. He will get better the more games he has IMO, and he is already better than Knight now. He is stronger, more decisive and composed, and I think Cahill's better form is influenced by the fact he has a more decisive partner.

Wheater.
I don't get as nervous when he has the ball at his feet. Zat scares me when he tries to dribble or pass it on the ground. Which is why I'm sure he just boots it.
Plus, I want to see Wheater score from a FK.

Wheater, not a bad bond with Cahill and has showed good composure.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious that that.

Wheater's had one bad game. Knight's yet to have a goodun.
