Do you think we'll shift 32,000 anyways?ChrisC wrote:Just said on SSN we will get 32,000 allocation. Seems a tad low for a semi final to me.
Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
We've had a fair few people asking us if we can apply for tickets for them.

Hard to say really. If we had drawn Manure or City i think we would sell out. Drawing Stoke means that sadly most fans will take it for granted that we will make the final and save money for that.
My main point is that the FA have decided to hold the semi's at Wembley to help pay for the stadium rather than using Old Trafford etc.. but will only allow 64,000 seats to be filled when there is 90,000 available.

I've heard that Gartside said on the radio there were 35,000 each, so perhaps Sky are a bit out?ChrisC wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:Do you think we'll shift 32,000 anyways?ChrisC wrote:Just said on SSN we will get 32,000 allocation. Seems a tad low for a semi final to me.

But either way a number of seats are corporates, that are already "booked" but of course they won't turn up. Thats the middle bit all the way round plus some near the dugouts I believe. So you're probably accounting for most of the rest there. Who knows maybe they keep a few back aswell say in the "middle" that could be allocated either way depending upon demand?
Be worse IF we make the final.

The stats show that our average attendance this season is 22,193 compared to Stoke's 26,658. Both clubs should be happy with 35,000 as I actually thought it'd be around 30,000. Us and Stoke will sell our allocations because there will easily be 20,000 fans (between both) who never go to the games at the Reebok or the Britannia who will want to be at Wembley.

It's also the London Marathon on the Sunday. The Met Police will be worked off their size 14s.Athers wrote:I'm told Liverpool are at Arsenal on the Sunday and the Met Police/BTP always keep them at United out of the capital at the same time.
But yeah that goes against the logical scheduling in terms of the teams with Europe/TV

Just as a warning to people thinking of staying over, hotels that are on the same roads as the marathon wont have access for cars until after 7pm.

Glad we got Stoke in the semi's, both games were hard fought and close, and hopefully at Wembley they won't give Delap a towel everytime he wants to take a throw. I'll be at a pub bright and early in San Francisco to watch our march to the final continue.

Wonder what psychological effect the league will have on this one? We have United and Birmingham away, and West Ham at home. Brum will be well up for a revenge mission and they desperately need points. Stoke have Newcastle and Chesea at home followed by Spurs away.

He seems to have his own personal manservant who follows him around the pitch with one always at the ready. Wonder what would happen if Jussi wiped the ball for every goal kick or Davo insisted on doing it for penalties?dstieber wrote:Glad we got Stoke in the semi's, both games were hard fought and close, and hopefully at Wembley they won't give Delap a towel everytime he wants to take a throw. Went in to work today with a skip in my step, beaming from ear to ear and giving a blow by blow account of the game to anyone within 30 feet of me. Then proceeded to open my diary and boom there in black and white - I'm in bloody Berlin the weekend of the semi final.
Only one thing for it...let's go all the way!!

Anyway, we've had two tough games against Stoke, they had a comfortable victory at their place, we had a much more contested one at ours... but if both teams play to their potential, we shade it...
But after the December - January blip we seem to have regained genuine momentum... Obviously important to keep that going, so, who's next?

Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
In PG's interview pn talksport he said we can go up to 35000. We may just shift them all - I personally am looking to get 5, two of whom have never been to a BWFC home game, and another has been two 2 home games in her lifetime!!

I've already had all the texts off my city mates and B-in-law (also a blue) all wanting us to play them in the final.
It just won't happen if you wish too hard, will it?
And I hope I get a bloody ticket after that drainer at Birmingham!

I think our players should be encouraged to concede corners instead of throwinswhenever they get the chance. Stoke get pretty much all their goals from delap throw ins.
