If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Academy 2, Bud. 1st floor in the SU building. Cracking venue - I first saw The Damned play there in Nov 81 :D

Tickets are £20 all told.

Anyone listened to the new Elbow album yet? I've heard very good things.

Just ordered it on the back of the snippets that I've heard off of it, Verbal. I'll let you know how I get on with it.

It's like any other Elbow album, at first I think it's a bit whiny and maudlin, then it grows on me, and then I love it

The original bassist of Alice In Chains died t'other day. So I dug out Dirt by Alice In Chains, very cheery.
RIP Mike Starr.

Latest from Mariza arrived today, 'fado tradicional'. Took about 20 seconds to get it out of the wrapper and into the bose. Three stunningly good tracks. Nine others fine. One of the world's finest divas. Amazing, aching, unique voice. And beautiful. :D :D :D

Here you go WTW, Isabel Pantoja. For many years (together with Rocio Jurado), Spain's Marizas. Both well worth finding on Youtube.

Well, Bruce, put it this way... At election times they put 'vote conservative' posters in their window... and sometimes i hear Frankie Goes to Hollywood late at night... So... I reckon they don't understand me and I don't understand them...

But I reckon they get the best of the deal... Mariza, Dylan and Tchaikovsky have to be a blessing, surely?

Just secured tickets to see the Flaming Lips at Jodrell Bank in the summer so I've revisited The Soft Bulletin. Absolute class.

Beyond that I've been on a Failure kick - Fantastic Planet, Magnified and the Ken Andrews solo LP Secrets of the Lost Satellite. The man Andrews is a genius.
